3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Ya know, it’s difficult, sometimes, rating a beer I’ve been drinking for numerous years because I liked the taste in the first place. I’ve turned lots of beer drinker compadres of Bud, Coors, Miller , etc. on to Negra Modelo and invariably, it’s met with a pleasant response. I like Negra Modelo and unto thems that don’t, heck, that’s ok, too.
On tap on Mexico City. Dark amber beer with small beige head. Not too much aroma in the nose, but not bad once in the mouth. A little sweet with typical honey and slightly roasted flavor with wooden note. MarcoBasile (328) - DENMARK - JUN 22, 2017
Pours deep amber/brown with a beige fairly lacing head.
Aroma is malty sweet, caramel, grain, little roasty.

12 oz. bottle poured to a shaker at Uncle Julio’s Mexican Restaurant in Lombard/Oakbrook, IL. displaying a clear, brownish amber color, with a presentable layer of off white/light tan froth, and foamy dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was malty, with a touch of caramel sweetness, toasted, with a hint of cocoa. Light to medium bodied, with fair carbonation, and subtle creaminess to the mouthfeel, the taste was similar, adding some low, earthy bitterness. Crisp, clean, and a good complement to the food. smaynard6000 (1152) - Apopka, Florida, USA - MAY 5, 2017
Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with minimal tan head. Subtle aroma of caramel malt. Mostly sweet with a touch of bitterness to balance. Light bodied. Not bad. roflorence (101) - South Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAY 4, 2017
Clear, coppery/brown colour in the glass. Crisp malty biscuit aroma and flavour. Slightly metallic in the aftertaste. Very refreshing on a warm day.
