COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boss Flamingo Bronze Ale is one of the rarest beers in the world. Its harmonic blend of hops, malt, and spicy yeast flavors create a surprisingly unique blend of fruity aromas and hop-bitterness. It’s an Americanized, “imperialized” interpretation of the Bavarian Forest Dampfbier. It has never been made before.

12 oz can bought in NH. Bronze ale? Nope. Cloudy gold pour with a small eggshell head and fair retention. No lacing. Belgian yeast nose and flavor. Nothing else going on. Flat mouthfeel. 7.2 ABV is well hidden. Pass.

From the can. Caramel and yeast aromas. Sweet with hot caramel, yeast, and overripe banana front to back.

Draught @ Revolution: This one pours a clear golden/bronze color and had a small white head. No lacing. It has a lighter nose. Spice, faint fruits. The taste is good. Somewhat bitter, spicy, fruits and malts. A little bready. Another good brew!

4 oz. taster @ The Thirsty Moose. Pours a deep gold with a modest white head. Aroma has notes of pear/banana with some toasted bread. Flavor shows a bit of yeast and bread grain, along with mild hop bite. Light stone fruit flavors, as well. Medium bodied. Pretty good.

Draft at the brewery. Pours clear gold with a fizzy white head. Taste like grapefruit hops, booze, bubblegum some light dried fruits, and light herb. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like grapefruit hops, herbs, licorice, and bubblegum.

On tap-thin offwhite head with trailing lace-gold. A-spice/sweet fruit. T-spice/slightly harsh hop bite, chlorophenols (hope that gets fixed on future batches or the yeast spiciness), lt sweet malt.

On tap at the brewery. Bronze color with modest head. Nice aroma of spice and banana along with a little toasted bread. Medium body. The spiciness in the taste was a little more forward than in the aroma making the banana and pale malts a little more muted,. But generally a tasty beer.

Taster at the source. Slightly hazy and just shy of amber a decent bubbly off white head. Bready sweet maltiness with a big hit of spicy phenol’s and lots of harsh hop bitterness. I had to look up dampfbier. My impression of this one is the yeasty spiciness is too much for the the malt to overcome and it only gets amplified by the solid hopping here. I’m thinking more toasty caramel of toffee maltiness might help to offset that a bit.
