Bought at unnamed liquor store in BC. Not really a lot here. A very faint taste of sweet chocolate. Not triple chocolate or even a chocolate beer. Very thin. Unmemorable. Crit (4049) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 28, 2015
Black, tan head.Nose of perfumey pipe tobacco, light chocolate & condensed milk.Palate is similar with "dirty line" notes. Something is "off" here ljthiessen (1397) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - FEB 1, 2015
Bottle. Dark brown pour with a tan head. Aroma is very roasty, some creamy chocolate notes. Flavour is pretty light and watery, a little roasty with some chocolate and vanilla. Lagerboy (2221) - British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 1, 2015
Bomber. Clear deep dark ruby copper, fine beige foam mostly fades. Roasty chocolate aroma. Taste is fizzy lean bitter dark roast, darker unsweet chocolate. Livlier carbonation, light-medium bodied, lightly hopped. An organically thin not so sweet stout. NFL (Not For Lagerboys) reebtogi (6350) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - APR 26, 2013
650ml bottle pours black in color with a finger and a half of light beige head that settles quite quickly leaving little lacing on the glass. Aroma is light roasted grains with chocolate. Taste is roasted grain bitterness with a chocolate malty sweetness. Body is a little on the light side for the style with moderate carbonation. A decent stout, but there are many better ones out there.

Bottle. Very dark brown pour, with a tight tan head that recedes to a clingy ring. Aroma is chocolate and roast, with chocolate syrup notes on the deep inhale. The palate carries the flavours promised in the aroma, chiefly bitter roast and bitter chocolate, but it is woefully quite thin/watery. Finish is brief with scant bitterness. Amp up the malt here and we’d have a really lovely beer. As it is, pretty average. patricks110 (2556) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 9, 2012
A bit thin and too sweet with some nice chocolate notes with mild hoppyness. A bland purely dark pour with a sick looking foamy tan head. No lacing on the glass. The nose is sweet and roasted well with light chocolate notes. The finish is a bit bitter with a blandness throughout. Overall, just okayyy.. (650ml bottle) Purchased at Cook Street Liquor. Thin, off-white head and black body. Somewhat tart nose. Interesting that it’s so sour, one would think a triple chocolate stout would be smooth and sweet.
