Poured from a 355mL can. Deep mahogany brown colour with nice beige head. Roasted malts, brown sugar, slight hops. Would I buy it again? Probably.

Wasn’t sure what to think of this beer. It’s sessionable and easy to sip on for a beer brewed with molasses and brown sugar. Has a nutty character like an English brown and is too dry for a beer that claims itself to be big.

exeter (536) - calgary, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 21, 2015
Pours a clear dark brown with light head and lacing. No bubbles coming coming up. Taste is sweet malty, chocolate and light coffee and vanilla. Nothing stand out so it’s smooth and sessionable, but maybe boring as well. Depend on what you’re looking for on any given day. Above average but not exceptional.

355 ml can, Calgary, AB, Canada. 6% ABV as per can. Clear copper colour. Somewhat sweet metallic mint aroma. Sweet flavour, some xmas spice. Weaker flavour than I’d hoped for.

harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - NOV 18, 2013
Canned: unk Dark brown with some nice fine light cream foam. Smells of bread, toasted rye, some graham and a little bit of herbal hops. Taste is biscuit, cocoa, coffee grounds, some soil, it’s a dry porter like beer with a little more body and a little less dry. Medium bodied with low carb and a wet finish. Good drinker.

Strangebrewer (1333) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 30, 2013
can. Poured clear reddish-brown with an off white head. Sugary malty nose. Average carbonation, medium mouthfeel, a touch sticky finish. Roasted malt flavour, raisin and brown sugar notes.

reebtogi (6341) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 22, 2012
341ml bottle pours brown in color with a finger of off-white head that settles quite quickly and leaves only a small amount of lacing on the glass. Aroma is roasted grains and chocolate with an interesting blend of spice. Taste is a chocolate malty sweetness with some roasted bitterness followed up with a leafy hop bitterness. This is a very well done brew that is nice and tasty.
