2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
This is wholly unremarkable. It’s not bad, but nothing good about it. Has a nice reddish tinge to it, but almost no smell and little head. It tastes like a beer, but has little taste or aftertaste.
11/24/2012. From bottle. Amber color with a white head. Caramel aromas with sweet malt. High carbonation, caramel flavors mostly, thin body and sweet finish. Ibrew2or3 (8807) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - AUG 24, 2013
50cl swing top bottle pours with a clear amber to gold body that supports . . . well, there’s really no head at all. The modest aroma has sweet malts, sweet red apples and sweet cherry notes. Hmm. The taste delivers, based on the nose I’m guessing sweetness, sweet malts as well as some caramel malts. To midway fruity esters surface and nearly take over with red apple and cherry notes. None of this is working too well for me. JK (6249) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - AUG 18, 2013
Bottle from Trader Joes. A decent amber ale in fancy packaging. Dry malt flavor, and very little aroma, some grain, but not much going on in that area. What this beer does have is palate, it is seems a heavier than others of the style. Hanuta06 (477) - Washington, USA - MAY 24, 2013
Serving: from bottle--purchased at Trader Joe’s.
Aroma: strawberry floral.
Appearance: small, frothy, light-brown, initial head with no lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Cloudy, dark-amber body.
Taste: heavily sweet initial flavor and heavily sweet, over-ripe fruit finish with long duration.
Palate: medium bodied with dry texture and lively carbonation.
Overall: great aroma, but too sweet for me. Arayaga2 (2218) - portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 4, 2013
Apple juice amber, with slight changes in color as it pours. Homebrewy aroma of cider and grain is a bit sweet and perhaps a touch sour. Annd that’s exactly how it tastes. $3/500ml

Bottle from Trader Joe’s. A nice copper brew with light orange amber at the edges. There was a thin off white head. Malty dough like nose with some strawberries. A little perfume like with the fruit character. Fruity bread with notes of peaches and dough at the start. The finish is dry and yeasty with hints of caramel and cola. The body is sharply carbonated. Overall, a decent brew if you like sweet malt bombs. IrishBoy (4228) - Bakersfield, California, USA - MAR 4, 2013
500 ml bottle from Trader Joe’s Bakersfield. Nose is sweet, caramel, and a light floral note with a very light sprinkling of nuttiness. Clear copper amber with a small beige head. Flavor is lightly bitter on top of moderate sweetness and some nuts and caramel malt. Decent for an amber ale. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 3, 2013
Bottled. Poured clear, coppery-orange with a creamy, sticky beige head. The aroma picked up a blend of redder fruits and detergenty notes with some caramel and nutty malt support. The flavor found tangy caramel and nutty notes at the core, with dried fruit skins and light clovey yeast around.. finished sweet, yet dry with fruits and light nutty notes. Light-medium bodied and tangy on the palate.. smooth, rolling carbonation felt good.. this was far from a great beer, but it was very drinkable. Pours a hazy orange color with a small head that fades away but leaves a wispy reminder that it was there. obguthr (6584) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - FEB 9, 2013
The aroma is malty, a touch dusty, with some toastiness and light fruitiness.
The flavor is malty, not especially sweet... but with plenty of nice spicy hop character and some nice crisp snappy maltiness.
Reminds me a bit of Breckenridge Avalanche, just a whole lot better.
Somewhat rich caramel nose ringed with sweet cherries. Hazy copper, thin head. Malty cherry flavor that gains intensity. Thin body. Decent.
