500 ml swingtop. Opens with a pop! Pours copper with a 3 finger foamy beige head. Aroma of mild roast malt and nuts. Med body. Foamy carb. Flavor is nutty, roasted malt, and something a little like noble hop. It’s pretty balanced, and it drinks very pleasantly. Drake (13649) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 31, 2012
Half liter bottle from Trader Joe’s Glen Allen, VA. Pours a clear amber color with a large fizzy tan head. Decent head
retention. Aroma of toasted malts and stone fruits. The taste is caramel, toasted malts, stone fruits, candied citrus and a
bitter hop finish. Medium bodied. Interesting. BVery (10327) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - AUG 23, 2012
Bottle - swingtop. Reddish amber pour with a small foamy head. Nasty stale nose. Dusty caramel malts, a bit sweet, and not much hop balance to the malty sweetness. Not very good at all. marcus (10145) - Sacramento, California, USA - DEC 2, 2011
Bottle from Trader Joe’s Sacramento. Pours reddish copper witih a thick beige head and a sour fruity aroma. There is a thin caramel malt flavor with a slightly sour cherry taste. It’s tastes pretty good although it is a bit watery. bb (9241) - Alamo, California, USA - DEC 27, 2011

50cl swing top bottle pours with a clear amber to gold body that supports . . . well, there’s really no head at all. The modest aroma has sweet malts, sweet red apples and sweet cherry notes. Hmm. The taste delivers, based on the nose I’m guessing sweetness, sweet malts as well as some caramel malts. To midway fruity esters surface and nearly take over with red apple and cherry notes. None of this is working too well for me. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 3, 2013
Bottled. Poured clear, coppery-orange with a creamy, sticky beige head. The aroma picked up a blend of redder fruits and detergenty notes with some caramel and nutty malt support. The flavor found tangy caramel and nutty notes at the core, with dried fruit skins and light clovey yeast around.. finished sweet, yet dry with fruits and light nutty notes. Light-medium bodied and tangy on the palate.. smooth, rolling carbonation felt good.. this was far from a great beer, but it was very drinkable. mansquito (6336) - Nueva York, New York, USA - APR 2, 2012
Trader Joe’s, DC 500ml ($3.50): Pours a nice copper colour with a serious head. Aroma is actually not too bad either, but it smells kind of like cheap lager after the initial nice smells coming out. Unfortunately, the taste drops the ball. It is just bland. It is kind of like what I would expect from a third rate American microbrew amber: uninspired and unperfected. Watery, metallic, and with some weak malts and even weaker hops. This is really meh. Seeing as this was from TJ’s, I wasn’t expecting much, but this managed to dash my already low expectations. obguthr (6301) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Somewhat rich caramel nose ringed with sweet cherries. Hazy copper, thin head. Malty cherry flavor that gains intensity. Thin body. Decent. nuplastikk (6220) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - APR 24, 2012
500ml flip-top bottle. Glowing, filtered orange-amber. Creamy, frothy head off-white head. The aroma isn’t so impressive, a little bit of garbage action. Medium bodied, relatively doughy, fluffy mouthfeel. Sub-par overall, loses points for being another fraudulent Italian beer. Drinkable, but has some noticeable off-flavors, probably not one to sit on, despite the bottle claiming it’s good for another year. I’d never buy this again.
