COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Pilsner is assertively hopped with Hallertau and Tettnanger noble hops and has a cracker-like malt backbone that finishes crisp and dry coming in at 4.8% ABV, which makes this one highly drinkable (which is the point, duh). We named this beer in honor of the Trauger family of Bucks County who came to America in 1747 and were among some of the earliest German immigrants to the area. In 1767 Christen and Henry Trauger purchased two farmsteads in Nockamixon Township and have been a part of the fabric of this county, state, and country ever since. Five generations and 6847 family members later our Head Brewer somehow got lucky enough to be a small leaf of that family tree, and this is our way of looking back not only on that history here in this country, but also our familys history dating back to Germany. Ironically enough, the Trauger familys German heritage predates the introduction and widespread popularity of the Pils style, but nonetheless, this beer is brewed and named in their honor.

Draft a Craft. Pours hazy medium gold with a finger of off-white head. Nose is pale malt, fruit, hopcitrus. Tastes pale malty and fruity up front, with mid-palate hops, citrus, and floral notes, and a smooth, crisp finish. This one is a good effort.

Thanks jblaze36ww for the can! Poured into a snifter showing well filtered golden yellow with sparse white foam lacing. The nose shows clean bready and corn malts. The palate is well carbonated and light bodied. Very clean bready malt and understated. Finishing on a very light pilsner bitterness. Not bad for the style.

Can. This pils is a hoppy one. Not super bitter but some with crisp citrus and malty backbone. Finish is earth and German hop. Gave it a knock for a metallic overtone and lack of dimension.

Small, white head with fair retention and a solid, lasting lace. Hazy, pee colored brew. Mildly spicy hop nose, faint grass and grain. Light bodied, fair carbo, light tinny notes. Dry malts, bone dry really, biscuit and grains with light spicy hops, grass and leaf. Bonr dry finish is grainy and the bitterness is nice and crisp, snappy. Nice lil Pils. Props to coldbrewky for the sample.

12 ounce can. Pours a bright medium gold color. Brief foamy white head. Grainy malt aroma has bready notes. Sharp dry bitter hops balanced with light grainy notes and a soft mouthfeel. Bitter peppery finish. Smooth and easy is this Pilsner. A nice homage to the German style.

DATE: Friday, June 23, 2016... the last day of my school responsibilities "ends" for the year... pours into a 22 oz. pilsener glass a golden yellow body, displaying giant strings of barnacle-like bubbles... large, intermittent bubbles also rise upward... craggy, clumpy white head craters as it shreds itself into what looks like strewn pillow feathers and spreads itself like clouds around the glass--quite a scene... crisp biscuit dough, lilac and perfume raise the aroma to the nostrils... celery and subdued flowers are secondary... dry indeed at the teeth, with subtle texture... the Tettnanger gives some pepper and cinnamon thoughts, while the Hallertau gives the floral qualities... light lemon spritz and cracker make for a sessionable, reasonably flavorful pils... I havent had a beer from Neshaminy Creek that I havent found at or above the genres expectations.--and this is no exception... a representative stand-alone that definitely warrants future six-packs, especially on lighter, party drinking days...

Draft at the brewery, 6/11/16.
A well-carbonated, bright, flaxen-gold body topped by a good-sized white head with moderately strong to strong retention.
Smells of hay, crisp, spicy German hops and a touch of honey. Theres a little sweatiness in there, as well as light bread/sourdough but its minor and actually adds to the charm, I think. Very nicely attenuated, with appropriate, moderate bitterness and great hop flavors balancing the malt (pepper, spicy-floral). Great carbonation level, fairly tight, as well, clearing the palate on the end. A little bit of that sour/sweaty character lingers but its low enough not to bother and Ive certainly seen it in many a German pils. Could use a touch more pils malt honey-like softness to the texture but its crisp and bright and the hops are done very nicely.

Can: Lightly hazy on the pour...other than that a lively rolling white head sits on a column of gold. Bubbly lacing clings to glass and sticks overnight to a sandy interior finish of my favorite pilsener glass. Nose is mostly malt with hops in the wings. Grassy and earthy malts make up this sturdy pilsener. Reminiscent of sitting at a cafe with my Cousin and crushing something similar to this all day long. I could with this as well.... I will have to reccomend this to my dad in Pennsyltucky.
