Tribute Tripel – After countless water testing and system checks, Tribute Tripel was the first beer to be brewed at Neshaminy Creek Brewing. Overall, we’re really happy with the way the rampup on this beer turned out. We feel it’s very true to style of a classic Belgian Tripel, a Tribute if you will The 9.3% ABV is very deceptive, so don’t underestimate this beer. Sometimes American brewers have a tendency to use far to many spices in this style and don’t rely enough on the yeast to do what it does best, and for this style, that’s hugely important. The bitter orange peel and coriander add a citrus flavor and spice note that help this beer finish on the dry side. We’re hoping attenuation will be a tad better on the upcoming batches, because in my opinion this style can never finish dry enough, but overall the first batch of Tribute finished quite well and so far the feedback has been great.

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2018 12/18/17 Had with Abby while downloading Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Christmas. Look: Hazy amber with a ginormous white foamy head. Tenacious D on the label is amazing. Nose: Belgian yeast, spicy and fruit on the nose (orange/banana/coriander) Taste: really fruity (banana & pear) with some sweetness and savory/spicy things. I like it. Palate: Medium body with a long spicy finish. Definitely a beer to savor. Overall: still getting acquainted with the style but I like this one a lot. Absolutely packed with flavor.

Pours yellow golden and completely translucent with a white head and an aroma of banana. Tastes of slightly sweet banana with a dry, somewhat astringent finish. It’s light bodied with moderate carbonation. The alcohol is very well hidden although there is a hint of bitterness from the alcohol in the finish that adds to the dryness. The alcohol balances the slightly sweet banana from the yeast. Powerful for such a light drinker.

Tap industry public house. Pale, smells a little tart. Thin creamy head. Quite strong on the uptake. Volatile. There is no doubt this is a high alky brew, does not hide alky well. A little sweet and almost cloying, wew. Finish is the same as the middle.

Drank from a twelve ounce can. Has a nice sweet malty but slighty boosey nose. Nice smooth maltyness with a finishing boosey touch, nice brew.

Pours a light gold with no head. Aroma of banana esters and sweet malt. Taste follows. Not my style but tasty for what it is.

12 oz. can purchase at Liquor Outlet Wine Cellars, Boonton, NJ. The aroma is as expected: yeasty, fruity, bananas and mild spice.

I sampled this right after Gouden Carolus Tripel. (maybe not fair to this brewer) Taste was correct. Yeasty banana, mild pepper and dried fruit with a slight spiciness and dryness for the texture. The ABV is not exactly hidden, but not too obvious either. The element that felt off was the body. Body was thinner and just a touch off. A touch overly sweet. Still all things considered, decent.

Pours a hazy golden yellow color. Aromas of yeast, some fruit and spice. Taste is yeasty and medicinal, can really taste the alcohol in this one.

On tap at brewery in Croyden. Served in large snifter like glass. Thin head disapears quick. Little to no lacing. Beer is a clear golden color. Head is white. Aroma is yeasty with light fruite notes such as pear. Taste is medium sweet with very little bitterness. Notes of pear some faint citrus. Medium bodied beer with light to average carbonation. Overall a pretty solid tripel. Enjoyable.
