It has a light brown/orange color with a med white head. I smell citrus, light malt and light hops. Nice Ale....
Hazy brown-amber with a small tan head.
Very fruity aroma....pear, peach.....
Taste is slightly tart and sweet, fruits and citrus, caramel malt.

I kinda liked this one, rather interesting. My one complaint is that it was exceptionally foamy upon pouring, which took a long time to disapate. Aroma of apricots, citrus,coriander, and a slight peach presence. Body was a murky amber- tan with a monster head that eventually faded, not much lace left behind. Flavor was interesting with citrus hints and an almost spicy/earthy flavor being the most noticeable. Overall a pretty good beer that is worth a try. Originally rated on 10/15/08. Amber, cloudy color with a relatively thick white head. Aroma is a little sweet and musty. Flavor is a bit sweet, notes of honey dominate the finish for me. Mild hops up front and pleasant bitterness. Biggest issue is the finish is a little off, slightly watery with a little funk. Not bad, just misses the mark a little.

Pours clear, coppery amber with a thick but effervescent pale buff head. Fruity aroma is not strong or promising, but give it a fair shake. Malt comes forth in the flavor, which is bolder than the aroma; more than a hint of hops peeks through as the ale rolls across the palate. Mouthfeel has average body and fizz. If nothing remarkable, still refreshing on a torrid August day.

What the hell! They bamboozled me into buying an esb! Busted this out and took a sip I was all huh.... This tastes like an esb but it’s supposed to be a pale ale. No! It’s an esb! I hate esb!
Aroma is Belgian like. Herbaceous.
Looks just like an esb. Darker. Nice head. Amber brown.
Tastes like an esb. Not as bad as others. Skunky but not terrible. Nops lingers but not terrible. Lemon note on the back of the throat.
Palate is smooth. A little stale tasting like how the esb do.

Pours with a medium amber body and a rather weak head. Minimal lacing.
Aroma: sweet caramel, baked bread and faint spicing.
An unusual ESB, it is quite fruity and there’s some light coriander spicing that mixes nicely with the load of caramel malts. Lightly sweet this would probably benefit from a stronger hop load.

Taste is malt with spices that turn bitter in the palate, cruising from there to an unchanging finish. Augustinian Ale has an extremely thick, spongy, off-white head, a good amount of lacing left on the glass, and a hazy, super-fizzy, orange appearance, with roiling specks and relatively large brown chunks throughout. When the bottom contents are swished and poured in, a brown, dirty cloud descends into the glass. The aroma is harsh and of turned citrus. There is also pungent sour bread in the smell. Taste is of red clay, iron, sweet citrus, cellar mold, bread crust, tea, and tap water. Mouthfeel is chewy and dirty, and Augustinian Ale finishes semi-dry and rough. RJT
