Sweet caramelly aroma. Just a hint of treacliness. Maybe some white bread. Rich copper, with a brief head. Slightly watery palate with some sweetness, but not sticky. Next to no carbonation. Wishy-washy in the taste. Not much going on here, a caramelly bitter that’s all. Finish is caramel and a bit of apple perhaps. Next!
Cask - The Murderers, Norwich. Poured with a small though lasting off-white head atop a clear, ruddy brown body. Sweet mid fruit and generic sweet malt aromas. Sweet & fruity again on the palate, some nuttiness, toasty malts and tea with a short, subtle bitterness. Soft body, short length finish on a light to medium body. downender (9008) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2011
Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 6/04/2011. Amber, malty bitter with some sweetish cereals and decent plum fruit, leading to a bitter finish. Fine. madmitch76 (26456) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 6, 2011

Warning! Early amateur rating! On tap at the Sun Inn, Kelvedon. Dark beer. Very mild. Malty with some zesty tones. Not that bitter - pretty drinkable.
The name of this beer is an allegedly amusing pun. Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber with a small off white head. Faint wet dog aroma. First taste seems watery, but it’s one of those beers with hidden depths, and you gradually perceive sour ripe apple and malt. Definitely an improver. Medium bitter finish.
