Sour smell..good..cloudy...sour taste, not a lot of depth though, palate acclimates and taste lessens quickly, light apricot finish wlajwl (6803) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - JUN 19, 2013
Aroma is slightly perfumed fruit, light tropical fruit and malts. The flavor is complex fruit, citrus, tropical fruit, a small hint of hop resin and a mix of tartness and alcohol in the finish. Patrickctenchi (6586) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - DEC 4, 2012
Cloudy, orange-amber with a full, off white head.
Scent is sour fruit, yeast.
Taste is yeasty, rartly fruited, sour.
Citrusy and sharp.
Grows sweeter as it warms.
Pretty good. dwyerpg (6180) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JUL 8, 2012
Sweet toffee aroma. Pours flat cloudy orange. This beer starts out incredibly sour, but in a not-on-purpose way. Very untasty with my dinner. A little better on its own but not much. marcus (10222) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUN 23, 2012
Bottle from Beer Revolution. Pours light amber with a rich foamy beige head and a fruity aroma. There is a funky toffee flavor with a sour finish.

Bottle from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours hazy amber with some bubbles for head. Aroma is rather yeasty/bready. Med body. Flavor is lightly citrus with a lot of light stone fruit. And some malt. It is a little astringent, and the bitter is very likely citrus. More bitter that many over the pond beers, but it must be balanced because it’s also fairly bitter (yeah, that’s strange, but the sweet and the bitter are a bit complicated). I’m prejudiced for Nethergate, but I really think this is a pretty good beer.
