Gravity at the Bree Louise, London. Porter-like appearance with a good head. Coffee and dark chocolate in the scent. Well balanced but unusually the sweetness comes before the bitterness. Citrus/lime tinge in the mouth, quite sticky, some berries on the end. A bit too sweet.

DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - NOV 4, 2009
Cask Stillage at the Boundary, Audenshaw 27/06/2009 Fruity aroma. Dark coloured strong in alcohol and a little rich on the palate. Fruity with a smooth and slightly dry bitter and hoppy warming roast malt finish.

berkshirejohn (6654) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 2, 2009
Cask at the Regal (JDW), Cambridge. Ruby port in colour with a ring of cream head; blackcurant aroma; dry and spicy blackcurrant flavour with underlying chocolate malts, unfortunately rather too thin; dry finish. Interesting.

DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 22, 2009
Cask in the coronet, holloway road. Alround rating: Toffee fruit cake malt, some peppery and fruity hop, but its all about the ruby fruit cake malt. Good show.

leaparsons (10765) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 20, 2009
Cask, Criterion, Leicester. Dark brown with a beige head. Aromas are molasses and liquorice with dark malts. Flavours are coffee and liquorice with very dark syrup. Dark chocolate bitterness with herbal notes, Winter fruit and brown sugar. Decent.

Cask, gravity, at Northamptonshire Beer Festival ’09. Very dark brown. Sweet marmite malt aroma. Sweet malt taste, oily and cloying. Mid bitter finish. Tough, chewy beer.

2.7
MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 11, 2009
A Mes rate. Gravicask at Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Black / mahogany colour, almost opaque, no head. Dark fruity malt and tea with some slight roasty notes and a very nutty finish. Slight alcohol notes. Rather bland and boring.
