UPDATED: AUG 18, 2017 Awful! Has a distinct tang of silicone sealant! So bad, I'm gonna leave this pint and grab something else!

Cask, HP at The Angel, Islington. As ’Nethergate GB Growler Bitter, 3.9%. Clear orange, still, small foamy white head. Aroma is bread, apple, light sulphur. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is musty, bready, light citrus with a soft bitterness. Musty linger. It’s hard to describe why this is better than most bitters. It’s got great balance, nice yeast character and is in perfect condition. When on form, these traditional Nethergate bitters can be impressive. I would have liked to have drunk several pints of this one but, alas, a ticker’s gotta tick.

Rune (14160) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 7, 2015
Cask, half pint at Lion and Key in Hull. Thin white head over an amber-gold body. Spotty lacing. Modest aroma of lemony hops and basement. Pale malty taste with citric hints. Slightly bitter ending. Standard (shared with Finn, 25.11.2015).

Fra cask på Lion & Key Hull 25 Nov 15. Delt med Rune. Mørk gyldenbrun. Lavt tett skum. Spredt lacing. Svak aroma. Litt søt malt. Smaken det samme. Diffus. Blir tørr etter hvert.

Cask at the moon under water Watford JDW. Golden orange colour with a lasting halo off white head. Aroma is pale malts, English hedgerow hop with English yeast esters. Flavour is orange blossom, straw, slightly stale, finish has a light granny smith tartness. . thin watery palate. Chalky carbonation. Dull beer.

kwik-lime (2194) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 5, 2013
Golden colour with a fairly thick head, citrus in the aroma and a bit in the mouthful. Well-balanced, decent session beer. Surely a golden ale rather than a bitter?

erickok (6036) - Leuven, BELGIUM - SEP 18, 2013
Golden body, clean and white lace. Aromatic and grassy hops, pale light malts. Unimaginative but okay. (Pint at The George Inn)
