August 17, 2012 - handpull at The Charles Dickens. This is the Nethergate London 2012 Olympic special brew. Clear bright brassy gold, a bit oily looking, minimal white fizzy/frothy head. Smells grassy with some sweet buckwheat honey grain. Taste - ehhh - about the same, a little light pear or apple - fruity anyway, not much alcohol presence. Slick, average body, mild carbonation, leaves a coating dry gluten-ish aftertaste - not that special, but a great name. dogbomb (1244) - ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2012
Cask. Mid gold ale with a thin white layer. Mostly malty nose with a slight peppery hint. Not much bubble on the mouth and there's a malty pepperyness there again. Not much to this, just a sweetness and it's peters out. Bland. thepegjett (1260) - Cambridge (via Winnipeg), Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - MAR 24, 2012
