Cask Pint at Wibbas Down (JDW), Wimbledon, London in Mar 2010 - Ruby in colour. Malty; roast malts, caramel, some toffee, hint of smoke. Fruity; some sour dark fruit. Hoppy; mildly earthy hops. Roasty fruity sweet malts with a distinctly sour fruity edge. OK. Drinkable. (2010-03)

Kolor rubinowy. Pod światło piwo jest całkowicie klarowne. Piana niska, kremowa, drobnooczkowa. Tylko miejscowe zabrudzenia szkła. Aromat bardzo przyjemny i dość złożony. Są tu i śliwki i ciemne winogrona i trochę wiśni. Po ogrzaniu wychodzą nuty karmelu, toffi i rodzynki. Smak cholernie przyjemny. Głównie te same nuty co w zapachu. Po ogrzaniu wychodzi delikatna nuta czarnej porzeczki i kociego moczu. Solidna faktura, sporo ciała. Goryczka średnia, średniej długości. Całkiem OK.

Nice toasted malty and chocolate aroma. Dark amber appearance and fine head. Taste licorice chocolate and roasted malts. Some bite on palate but would have liked more. That said a good strength. Very drinkable. .

Cask at the White Swan, Solihull. Poured a clear reddish brown with a frothy white head. The aroma is light roasty malt, yeastie medicinal hop. The flavour is light bitter with a light watery fruity earthy light hop bitter palate. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask HP at The Webb Ellis Twickenham. As ’Nethergate Mary’s Ruby Mild’. Brick red dark amber, clear, still, dense foamy tan head. Aroma is very chocolatey, toffee. Body is light and smooth with low carbonation. Taste is toasted brown bread, crusts, spicy, musty bitterness. A tasty mild.

Lovely dark brown and subtle red color. Nice tan head that leaves a fine lacing down the sides of the glass. Mellow aroma. Medium (light) body and a soft carbonation. Mellow sweetness and a moderate bitterness. Bready, some roast, mild chocolate and a bit fruity flavor. A really decent and nice mild ale.

Cask. Ruby brown body thin cream top. Aroma toasted malts with coffee and licorice notes. The taste is fruity, soft berries rather than citrus with a mild malty tang in the background. Overall a good example of the mild beer type.

Cask @ Bedford Arms, Bedford. Dark purplish brown with a wispy tan head. Mild liquorice and coffe in the nose. Taste carries a surprisingly fruitiness. Sweetness balanced by a chalky bitterness in the back of the throat. Aftertaste has a jarring bitter/sour note but otherwise ok. An above average mild, enjoyable stuff.
