A Mes rate. Cask at Baker St. ’Sporks.sm89walt (2080) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - DEC 24, 2009
Copper coloured with a very good white head considering it’s a JDW serving. Fairly bland aroma that I really can’t be bothered describing. Reasonably tasty. Lots of earthy malt and some faint leathery character. Minerals and slight metal in the finish with a decent amount of bitterness late on. Rather dull but inoffensive.
Cask - The Murderers, Norwich. Pours a chestnut brown with a dark, one finger off-white head. Nutty, fruity sweet malt aromas with a bit of toastiness. Some dry fruits, subtle roasty malts and a light hoppiness in the finish. Soft carbonation, medium body. berkshirejohn (6618) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 17, 2009
Cask at the Regal (JDW), Cambridge. Tawny with an off white head. Malty aroma. Medium body with a full-on malt flavour, some slight spciness to finish. harrisoni (19187) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 29, 2009
Cask handpull at The New Wheatsheaf, Borough. Chestnut colour. Bit of cheese on the yeast and on flavour. It’s ok, but not a very good bitter. Little hop presence, but bit of sting on the finish.
