500ml bottle shared with Finn at our social gathering on Midsummer Eve. Bubbly, beige head over a deep red-brown body. Malty aroma lightly roasted. Dry hops, grain and caramel malts in a flavour that ends up with a smooth bitter twist. The ale was, in fact, quite well paired with cured meats and porridge made with soured cream (Tromsø, 23.06.2009).

Bottle at home ... thanks to madmitch76 for this one ... copper ... off white bubbly head ... metalic caramel malt ... sweet fruit ... caramle and again metalic ... really not me.

Bottle. It pours a clear, copper body under a small off-white head. Bready, quite fruity nose. Mostly dried fruits like prunes. Something reminiscent of oxidation, and a hint of toffee as well. The flavor is on the malty side, with bread and toffee, some oxidation, a hint of hazelnuts, some fruity hops and a little bitterness. Bready, bitter finish. Medium body. Far from impressing, and rather boring too. (090422)

28.02.2009, 0,5l Bottle. Dark brown colour, firm off-white head. Aroma is malt and hops. Both malt and hops are a little neutral. Nice but not perfect.

500 ml bottle. Dark copper colour. Clear. Small off-white head that clings to the glass. Medicinal hops and a distinct cacao powder aroma. Light-bodied, but with nice nutty flavours. Dry texture and a little powdery. Gentle crisp hop bitterness. Dry earthy hops with a soft bitterness in the finish.

Bottled. Lovely ruby beer. Full maltiness, some cereals. Bubdued red fruit and berries. Some bitterness in the tail.

500 ml bottle. Thin offwhite head with big bubbles. Clear reddish brown color. Fairly sweet caramel aroma with fruity and mineralic notes. A whiff of dusty/hayish hops. Taste is light sweet, has a modest malt base, with some earthy bittering hops and a note of plummy fruitiness and cellar. Sourish, quite watered down mouthfeel. Short, mild bitter ending.

Sigmund (7513) - Tau, NORWAY - AUG 16, 2008
500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Copper coloured beer, decent off-white head. The aroma has a nice blend of malts and fruity hops, notes of prunes, toffee and some chocolate. The flavour has earthy notes, some malts and fruit, hints of caramel, but the finish is "dusty" and dry with noticeable hops. A very nice bitter.
