kiefdog (1826) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JUN 27, 2009
Bottle courtesy of retorp. Pours a clear reddish brown with thin white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of caramel, toffee, light floral hops, some hints of candy sugar and ripe fruit. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of caramel, some ripe fresh fruit, hints of brown sugar and honey. Generally light to medium body with a pleasing malty finish.

Ibrew2or3 (8614) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUN 26, 2009
Pours deep copper with gold edges and thin tan head. The aroma is pretty full with smooth caramel, candy apples and some dark fruity grapes. The taste is much the same with an even smooth mix of caramel and sweet dark grapes to go along with a note of grainy malts. It is smooth and nice. Well crafted brew bringing forth plenty of yum.

markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - JUN 26, 2009
I actually liked this beer pretty well, but it was maybe a tad sweet for a dunkel. Pours caramel brown with a small off-white head. Nose is caramel, brown sugar, molasses, and some booze. Flavor is very similar with some lingering sugar and malt in the finish.

Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - JUN 18, 2009
Bottle. Pours a mahogany body with a short lived tan head. Very malty beer, nutty chewy caramel, oats, and cereal notes. Light body with a slightly sweet dried fruit finish. Decent. brew.

Aurelius (5335) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUN 4, 2009
Sweet, malty aroma with some molasses. Bad bottle, good label, medium, almost-clear brown with an oatmeal head. A little tinny and bockish, moderately sweet, chalky/dusty dark syrup flavors. Not that bitter. Mouthfeel is initially slick and then breaks crisp. Finishes out with a cracker jack caramel. Publix, I-10 and Thomasville Rd.

PorterPounder (7970) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUN 4, 2009
Tallahassee, Fl - Publix Supermarket - Bradfordville - 330 ml bottle. Medium copper pour, quickly dissipating head. Slightly sweet aroma with hints of molasses and brewing coffee. Flavor has some caramel accents, a touch of molasses, some dates and raisins in the back end and a hint of marshmallows. Overall, not overly flavorful. Mouthfeel is leaning to the thin side.

Bottled, thx to skortila. Clear brown color, short head. Aroma of caramel malt, toast, some grainy german water. Very caramelly taste, sweet. Quite boring.

armando629 (2456) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAY 6, 2009
0,5 l bottle. Reddish brown body with a nice creamy beige head. Light roasted grains, sourish yeast, some creamy vanilla and a bit of cocoa in the nose. Medium body with toasty caramel, roasted grains, sourish yeast, light chocolate.

3.5
DukeBrewDevil (732) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - APR 20, 2009
Bottle. Clear light maroon pour with a big foamy white head. Nose is simple....sweet malts. The flavor’s very malt-leaning as well with some brown sugar, caramel, and maple syrup. While there’s not much bitterness to balance the sweetness, it’s light enough it’s quite drinkable. Leaves the mouth sticky. An enjoyable malty session beer.
