Year old beer bought in Germany last summer. Pours slight hazy reddy brown. Aroma malt and prunes. Tastes similar. Quite light tasting compared to other dunkles I've had.

Clear nutty brownish amber, under a thin off white lacey head. Nose features some earthy toffee and earthy toasted biscuit. Sweet and charmingly nutty flavour with some earthiness, light toasted wheat, and a bit of dark toffee lager tones. MisoW (3662) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - JUL 21, 2014

Bottle: The aroma consists of roasted nuts, light caramel, hints of toffee, and fruit. It pours a transparent copper with a large creamy khaki head that has great retention and leaves behind a lot of soapy lacing. The flavor starts with some light caramel and chocolate flavors. The finish has some light roasted nuttiness and faint dusty notes. It’s light bodied with light-moderate carbonation.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein braunes Bier mit geringer aber schönen Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, Karamell, minimal würzig.
Geschmack angenehm röstmalzig, würzig, gering schokoladig. SDalkoholic (2408) - Linda Vista, California, USA - JAN 30, 2014
Bottle from Sprout’s: Poured a medium brown colored liquid topped with a thick foamy head which left behind beautiful lacing that reminded me of bush spider webs. The aroma smells of lightly caramelized malts that have an undeniable scent true to German dunkel standards. The drink is delicate and smooth on the palate as expected in from well crafted lager beer. Flavors are subtle with only a minimal backing of chewy malts that have almost no sweetness to them at all. Highly quaffable dunkel that taste good and very German, but for the price, I doubt I will be every drinking this beer again.
