saxo (18573) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - NOV 2, 2009
Bottle. Nice head with medium duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are bread, malt, caramel, hops and vinegar. Unfortunately it tasted a little off. Too sour.

yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 12, 2007
Bottle. Pours a clear, dark golden with a small, beige head. Caramel, slightly grainly nose with a hint of fruityness. Nice fruityness in the flavor, a bit like tropical fruit-juice with banana, grape-fruit and so on. Quite malty as well. Not much bitterness, more on the sweet side. Sweet, slightly roasted finish with a pleasant fruityness. Medium body. A quite pleasant dunkel. (071212)

330ml bottle (BioMarket, Tallinn)
6 Slightly sweet grainy aroma, not really jumping out of the glass.
4 Very deep red, small tight beige head.
6 Slightly eco-ey muddy grain taste. Leafy and undergrowthy. However, there’s also something almost chocolatey too it too.
4 Medium palate, has both sugary and watery components, crisp carbonation. Dry nuttiness and a pleasant roast after swallowing. A little bitter tingle too from the hops.
13 Let this sucker warm up, don’t drink straight from the fridge. The heavier flavours just won’t come through cold.

MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - AUG 29, 2005
Bottle. Very malty, fresh sweet fruit aroma. Dark red/brown colour, unstable head. Malty flavour, a little sweet. Tastes toasted, but without being bitter. The flavour is mild, but still quite tasty.

3.2
bhensonb (15251) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 7, 2008
Bottle as Organic Dunkel (from Ledgers). Medium mahogany color with a decent beige/tan head. Light, slightly roasted, caramel with peppermint? hop for aromas. Thin to medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is light caramel, not all that sweet, and there is a spicey/minty hop. Must be really interesting noble hop - can not recall this flavor from any other beer. Good nose while consuming. Finish is rather mild, goes a bit herbal, or might be earthy, but that nice hop touch hangs in. Reasonably dry. Not one of those sticky darks. What the Heineken and Becks dark lagers could be/should be.
