bierkoning (13387) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - AUG 3, 2005
Bottle from Dortmunder: thanks! Soapy and somewhat flowery aroma with just a touch of hops. Medium to full bodied. Malt, cologne, vanilla. A fair deal of hopbitterness. Boiled milk. Hints of licorice. Disappointing aroma, but the flavor is quite OK.

Yellow to goldend colored pour with a nice small head. Had a sweet malty aroma to it, also had a nice sweet finish to it. Pretty good.

Bottle in Berlin. Fruity pilsener with moderate hops in the finish. Nothing outstanding, nothing bad about it.

Ron (3994) - Rochester, New York, USA - DEC 27, 2008
A classic Pils. I think the commercial description of this beer says it all. Aroma of fruit, malt and hops. Flavor of citrus and malt. Small amount of hops bitterness.

drpimento (3669) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 26, 2011
This came from a green glass bottle. Poured with a small, fine head that slowly faded and a little lace. Color is a very slightly hazy yellow and has some small bubble trails. Aroma is grain, malt, a little hop. Flavor shallow, with noticable bite on the tongue from the carbonation, a little underlying malt sweetness and only a hint of hop. Smells better than tastes. Body is ok, carbonation a bit sharp. Finish is like flavor and has some length. Also, surprisingly, a bit of alcohol warmth. Nothing special; better than macro and nice that it’s organic.

glennmastrange (2881) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - OCT 10, 2012
Bottle. Moderate to heavy malt notes of light bread and grain, moderate grass for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with a hint of wood in the background. Head is average to large, frothy, white with good yet slippery lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is hazy pale yellow. Flavor starts lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and lightly to moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, dry with a fizzy carbonation and a dry finish. Good aroma and simple flavors from this Classic German Pilsener. A nice easy drinker and very true to the style.

Bottle:   Sure seems cloudy for a pils, heavy straw, slightly dirty, minor sudsy white head, sparce lacing.   Musty nose, a little mealy. &nbps Reminds me of a rabbit cage for some reason.   It slike alfalfa and straw, mixed together.   Slightly grainy in that organic way.   A bit more bright on the tongue than the nose suggests, thankfully.   Its actually rather clean, and a bit refreshing.   The nose really put me of tho.   Soft grassiness, very pale mealiness, with a nice sweetnes on the backside.   This is one of those that you can drink on a nice hot day.   Flavorful while being light.   Body and mouthfeel are average for a pils (who woulda guessed).   Very respectable, but the nose doesn’t do this one any favors.
