A mild indeed, comes across silky and subtle with light sweet toffee herbals and a bit of fresh sweet pea that is initially a hint jarring, but necessary for overall structure and oomph for the style. Subtle mineral, ale fruit and teen tea. I like the gentle palate, the quenching overall profile is elegant, light bitter over sweet finish, crushable session.

clear light brown orange with a.small creamy light beige head, good retention and very sticky lacing. dry roasted coffee onto caramel and lightly fruity malts, nuts-plenty, bit of minerals and ashes. moderate carbonation, light body - not watery, dry roasty grassy-peppery finish. very sessionable and tasty.

Good mild full of taste for low alcohol. A nice mouthful of barley here. Pours reddish brown with decent head and lacing. Finishes with crisp malt and light hops - spot on for style. Nice sense of wholegrain cereal here. Tap at Black Tomato.

This ale poured a beautiful dark amber colour with a big, creamy, tan coloured head. Scents include coffee, caramel, toast and smoke. First sip was nice but a tad thin. Flavours of roasted malts and caramel with a good flavor of caramel on top. Finish is roasted caramel. Delicious!

[5155-20130310] Tap. Dry peanut and bark aroma. Clear, dark amber brown body with a long-lasting creamy white head. Mild roasted nuts and dry wood flavour. Medium-full body. Good. (7/3/7/3/14-) 3.4

Draught at Bar Hop for ’Dark Water Series 2013’.  Pours a very dark brown with amber hues and small long-lasting frothy beige head. Earthy, yeasty aroma along with grain, pale malt, some sweetness and fruit. It’s quite flavourful for the low abv but it’s not taste I much care for. There’s caramel malt, grain and sweet fruit. Average bodied. Overall it’s O.K. but it just doesn’t quite gel for me.

2013-03-10. Crisp dark brown with a nice beige head. 4+ Very dry roasty dusty malt aroma. 7++ Flavour is similar, very dry roast, pretty bitter, light coffee grounds in the finish. 6+ Smooth Average to light body suits it. Solid, impressive amount of flavour considering the low abv, but it is not to my own tastes. Bar Hop Black Water Event

Deep brown pour with a thin head. The aroma is nutty and a little bit earthy. Some spice and a touch of toffee. Caramel and and bit of sweetness. Decent.
