COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
from http://www.anti-aging-beer.com : We developed our Bathbeer years ago. It’s a beer used for drinking and also as a tonic for bathing, and is available not only in Germany, but also in the United States, Poland and of course South Korea. To take the concept one step further, we have now formulated an "anti-aging" beer. Having consulted with several universities and health institutes, our beer contains: Water from hotsprings, rich in minerals, flavonoids, beer (malt, water, hop, yeast), spirulina (Algae)

Bottle from BierAmt Post in Schwerin. Weird artificial smell, some candy. Sweet taste with candy and some fruits. Weird and artificial with some soap. Spiced somehow?

Bottle from Keller Meister, Lincoln. Deep brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is fruity yeast and slightly sharpe. Taste is a touch umami, and light sweet.

Spirula (which is typically sold under the name Spirulina) is a type of edible algae with a high content of proteins and amino acids. It is a very popular supplements that can be purchased in health food stores, and the algae contains a lot of healthy things and recommended, inter alias, to dieting.
This is my first beer brewed with Spirula. It is black and has a nicely persistent foam. Slightly spicy aroma and a taste of hard roasted malt with a spicy undertone. It certainly must be Spirula! How Spirula taste is very hard to describe. I sense it as something vegetable slightly in the direction of gentle kale or parsley. It is a very pleasant tang to a schwarzbier but puts perhaps the beer type bluntly. In this case it is good, because it replaces the hop bitterness and brings a freshness to the beer.

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2014 Black colour, beige head. Dark fruit on the nose, along some caramel and dark chocolate. Malty, medium bitter taste, with an abrupt finish. OK.

Grumbo (4120) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - AUG 13, 2014
Bottle from bierpost.de. Pours a deep chestnut brown colour with a small off white head. Aroma is very malty, rather medicinal, with some dark fruit. Reminiscent of an African non-alcoholic malt beverage. Taste is an unbalanced mix of sweet, sours and bitter. Didn’t really like it and I’m not sure I’d want this again even if it’s properties were true.

Vom Gefühl her etwas leicht, simpel, unspektakulär. Aber dennoch sehr trinkbar. In Ordnung.

Pours out of the bottle in a deep black colour with low head and thin body. Aroma of malt and brown sugar. Taste of spicy malt, herbs, caramel, chocolate and woods. Earthy finish with many sweet parts. Too sweet for me, otherwise just a thin but drinkable beer.
