labeerinthum (799) - Milano, ITALY - JAN 13, 2017
Bottle courtesy of Roberta Reganati.

Bottle 50cl. from gourmeo24.com. Clear deep amberbrown, big frothy light tan head, good retention, good lacing; sweet malty nose, toasted, light coffee, caramel; taste light bitter and sweet, sugary notes; medium body, oily to watery texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste light bittersweet; all in all a decent light schwarzbier.

Senka (1082) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JAN 31, 2015
50cl bottle. BBE15.10.15 Pours pitch black with white creamy head. Looks almost like Guinness. When looked closely - the beer is actually kind of grey. Light beer overall. Very clean water, and simple selection of malt and hops. It is not overloaded. Medium bodied with a pleasant carbonation. Finish is mild malts with some caramel and dry bitterness. A positive surprise. Definitely one of the good black beers out there.

Pours a lasting beige frothy head atop a deep brown body. Nose of coffee and bread. Slightly tinny flavour with a good buttery malted finish. Its pretty balanced and drinkable. Purchased at Metro Liquors University Heights for $4.25 per bottle.
