Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - OCT 1, 2011
Bottle at home. Black pour, quickly dissipating off-white head. Aroma is metallic, earthy, quite roasted, but a bit funky. Flavor is smooth bitter chocolate, coffee and roasty. A lot better than the aroma. Smooth texture.

500ml Bottle at Kölner Bierbörse. Appearance is deep, dark brown/black with medium, beige head. Aroma is mild with notes of sweet and roasted malts as well as chocolate and coffee bitterness. Taste is corresponding with strong base of roasted malts and some sweetness with chocolate, coffee, and toffee flavors pushing through. Palate is medium-bodied, very smooth texture, average carbonation, and a semi-sweet finish. Fantastic porter!

Cuso (8959) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - AUG 26, 2011
Bottle from Bier Imperium, Vienna. Almost black color with huge frothy beige head.Aroma of coffee, molasses, roasted malt, plums. Taste, surprisingly fruity, with some dark fruit, caramel, hints of coffee, very light bitterness in background. Surprisingly good German porter.

Bif (2394) - St. Charles, Missouri, USA - AUG 12, 2011
Bottle- Pours a virtual black color with a moderate head and good lacing. Aroma of roasted nuts, dark berries, woody a bit boozy for some reason. Mild dark berry sweetness with bit of caramel thrown in. nice bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body, smooth and creamy with no real presence of alcohol. Easy drinker. Another good Baltic Port to enjoy on a quiet evening relaxing.

Bottle. A nice dark porter. Sweet and malty. Some fruit notes, not too bitter, just a hint.

MadIndian (2743) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 31, 2011
Bottled. Dark brown almost blakc pour with thin beige. Aromas of caramel roast, sweet chocolate, and roasted coffee. Flavor was immediately roast, very roast. I detected dark fruits, coffee, and dry milky finish. It was good , but didn’t remind me of a porter.
