500ml bottle. Pours a deep opaque brown with little head and no retention. Mose is full of sweet rostiness and alcohol with a hint of....is that kerosene? Big sweet maltiness up front with a little coffee and alcohol (not near as much as the nose hinted at). Finishes long with warming alcohol and that kerosene kick. A little thinner mouthfeel than you’d hope for. Interesting brew overall but that kerosene feel takes away from it a little.

Dark brown color, medium beige head. Aroma: burnt finish, coffee, liquorice, surprising sweetness compared to high alcohol content.

Bottle. Black with fast disappearing head. Sweet, liqourice, raisins, wine. Low carbonation. Half a litre is more than enough.

This bottled brew marked best before 12/07/04 poured a large sized head of frothy medium sized mostly lasting but soon collapses into a foamy thick head that slowly diminishes with dark brown colored bubbles that left behind a good lacing. The body contained no visible carbonation, was opaque and black in color. No light can pass through this one its so opaque like a cave. Its aroma contained notes of creamy roasted malts dark malts and was very nice. Its mouth feel is initially flat and smooth with a lingering tingly palate. Its flavor contained thick dark beer brown malts and roasted notes. It was OK but not as goos as it looked thus disappointing me. It was more like a Schwartz beer than a porter. A very average brew.

Pitch black colored with a small brown head. Sweet roasted and buttery aroma with chocolate notes. Sweet and thick butter flavor with some chocolate. All right, but the butter flavor gets cloying in the long run.

Bottle. pours a clear and dark brown beer with a beige head. The aroma is malt, ash and roasted. The flavor follows the nose with some additional sweetness. The palate is sweet. Overall a good beer.
