COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The great Bill Monroe described his bluegrass music as “Scottish bagpipes and ole-time fiddlin’. It’s Methodist and Holiness and Baptist. It’s blues and jazz, and it has a high lonesome sound.” Our Black & Blue Grass begs to concur. Belgian yeast and stateside Saison spicing; black pepper and blue agave and lemongrass, and a great bet alongside any food you have around. Or, just enjoy a bomber of Black & Blue Grass as you watch the springtime ponies run.

Seems really flat. Barely any aroma and lacking in taste. NABC makes good beer but this one missed the mark for me.

Rustyham (1836) - St. Petersburg, Florida, USA - DEC 31, 2014
Great aroma of sweet agave. Flavor is crisp lemongrass with the subtle black pepper balancing it out nicely. Medicinal, but good, like an old fashioned lozenge. A little too light, though.

Draft sampler pours golden with a white head. Aroma and taste is pine sol , not a good batch.

AirForceHops (7680) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 19, 2014
Nice price on this 22 oz. bottle, $8.45 at Leary’s Fine Wine. Hazy orange color with a thin ring of head around the snifter. Aroma is oranges, dusty wheat and spice.

The flavor is mirror image of the aroma with the lemongrass being a main player. Light lingering herbal spices. Hard to get agave but the balance of spice and wheat is nice. Medium body with a low bitterness. Good not great, worth a try if you want something a tad different in this broad style.
