Draft. Black body with a frothy, beige head, slowly diminishing. Lots of dark chocolate in the aroma. Also peat, earthy herbs, coffee, sweet cream, roasted malts. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, soft carbonation. Rich mouthfeel and flavors of chocolate, roasted malts. ContemplateBeer (2089) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - DEC 8, 2012
On tap at The Irish Rover. Aroma of bitter chocolate, moderate roast and light coffee. Appearance is black with a ring of mocha head. Flavor is chocolate-centric; the roast and coffee takes a backseat to the chocolate, but is still present. There is a little smoke here as well with the rich chocolate finish. Palate is velvety soft and creamy, a big, delicious stout mouthfeel. Excellent stout; NABC should bottle this one if they don’t already.
