Bottle split with Devin at Erawan. Pours a deep murky reddish brown with thick beige head and lacing. Nose is sweet caramel, bready yeast, mild citrus. Taste is similar, mild hop bitterness, not a ton of hop flavor. Mostly toffee and bread. jtclockwork (16685) - , New Jersey, USA - DEC 9, 2012

Deep red, and a big frothy head. Bonus appearance point for the cool label. Lots of caramel and toffee in the aroma. Lots of caramel and toffee in the flavor, as well. I get some woody, hoppy flavors in the finish. Thanks to queenholly for the trade! rondphoto (4464) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - NOV 10, 2012
Clear medium amber with a small rocky ivory head and drapes of lace. Taste is bittersweet caramel malt that expands through the palate and moves to a satisfying light bitter at the finish. A little heavy, but very drinkable. Trcommended. fauxpunker (76) - Florence, Kentucky, USA - OCT 20, 2012
Growler. Smells hoppy but has strong Belgian influences. A bit dry. Citrus notes noticeable with the sweetness. A bit different from what I’m used to, but not bad. Patrickctenchi (6623) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - OCT 7, 2012
Murky wood brown, with a thin tan cap.
Scent is caramel, spice, boozy.
Malty caramel, resin-type bitter flavour....
Rather high alcohol presence for just 7.5%.
Not exactly a smooth one. crossovert (13078) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 28, 2012
Defnitely a full-on red ale. Big malt notes combine with an interesting hop bill that isn’t too harsh.
