Hops throughout. Great aroma to start with a bitter finish. A lingering dryness. Masks the alcohol very well. vyvvy (6639) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUL 11, 2010
Pours reddish brown with a light tan head. The aroma has lots of maltiness that is toasted with a bit of mush. Medium grainy body with gentle sharp carbonation. The taste starts off with rough earthy hops along with toasty nutty malt and some spice. The finish is earthy and resiny. Quite nice. Dogbrick (13547) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 9, 2010
UPDATED: JUL 13, 2010 Sample at Heorot in Muncie, IN. The beer pours a clear brownish-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark malt, caramel and hops. Medium body with flavors of piney hops and malt plus a touch of citrus. The finish is hoppy up front and settles to a sweet malty aftertaste. Decent Imperial Red overall. patrick767 (4108) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - MAY 9, 2010
tap at Indiana winterfest - Pours amber and has a nice, earthy, hopped aroma. The flavor is of caramel malt with big, citrus accented hops and a bitter finish. It’s medium bodied and very enjoyable. wxman (1841) - O’Fallon, Illinois, USA - MAY 1, 2010
On tap at the 2010 Microfest in St. Louis. Pours a clear reddish-brown with a substantial off white head. Taste is sweet toasted malt, caramel and assertive hoppiness. Very good and well balanced, but not an IPA. An imperial Irish red ale.

Tap - Sweet red licorice aroma with a pine hop back. Flavor is very sweet caramel malt with a bitter hop finish. Palate is syrupy and sticky. Not offensive but too sweet for me. deyholla (12034) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 11, 2010
Sampled from the tap at the 2010 Indiana Winterfest. Poured a clear amber brown with a yellowish brown head. Aroma was full of citrus and spruce hops. Flavor was a bit more subdued with some malt coming into the profile with citrus hops at the beginning and pine hops at the finish. tykechandler (343) - Kentucky, USA - JAN 29, 2010
a very yummy, albeit moderately mild, i.p.a. one of my favorite go-to beers, and one of the best new albanian recipes.
