On Tap - The Trion! Impressive Beer!
Great Malty nose... well balanced with aromas of caramel and dough with a background of citrus hops.
Pours a fairly clear amber with a frothy, slightly tan head. Lacing was hard to judge because of the small size of the glass. (The flight paddles that the Trion offers are great to try new beers, but make for a difficult judgement on head at times.)
Taste and palate are immediately enjoyable... not overly sweet with a medium-full body and creamy texture. Carbonation was soft, which lent well to the style... finish was not long but faded enjoyably.
A very drinkable beer! Rynoplasty (700) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JAN 4, 2010
Pours ruby/amber with a tan head. Aroma is citrusy hops and a little bit of caramel. Flavor is nice blend of citrusy and earthy hops, with a nice caramel malt backbone. Pretty good. awiseman01 (469) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - DEC 11, 2009
Had this on tap last night at new Barley Island, broad ripple location, labeled an Imperial Red. Pours semi-clear reddish/brown. Nose is rye malt and hops. Flavor is clean, crisp, moderately hoppy and dry. Not a bad offering. tjthresh (1873) - Greenfield, Indiana, USA - NOV 19, 2009
Draft at Barley Island Broad Ripple. Pours dark red with some brown hues. Nose is big with some toasted and candy notes. Full malt and citrus and pine hop flavor. Full and round, but easy to drink. 502Che (999) - @, CAMBODIA - DEC 20, 2008
not an IPA, considering the label says Imperial Red. Who fucked up here? Anyways, this stuff is pretty good with a very solid hop character on the aroma and the flavor with an almost rye malt charcter (despite the lack of rye malt in the recipe). Good stuff!

Draft sample. Really liked this one. Amber body with a respectable beige head. Malty caramel balanced with citrusy and pine hops. Not really an imperial red but a solid pale ale that is fun to drink. Well done. Acknud (1081) - Morganfield, Kentucky, USA - AUG 18, 2008
Nice IPA. Definite hops on the nose. Taste is nicely balanced between sweet and bitter. Easily quaffable and could probably hurt you quickly as it is so drinkable! cdeaton (66) - Madison, Indiana, USA - MAY 29, 2008
Robust Imperial Red with very solid balance. Unique -- would’ve expected it to be more earthy, but plenty hoppy and plenty enough body for me. I love the hybrid yeasts these guys use. allfreej (556) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - APR 11, 2008
On tap at New Albanian. Amber pour with a nice tan head. Nose was malty. Flavor was sweet malt, not much hop bite in the finish. I don’t think I’d have classified this as an IPA. The brewer’s label of "Imperial Red Ale" seems more on the mark. Not hoppy enough for an IPA. mnurda (1285) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - FEB 19, 2008
On Tap at Rich O’s I am a huge fan of hops and carbonation, so this was right up my alley.
