On tap, pours a light brown with an off white head, the aroma is of grain and a little bit of funk mixed in, the flavor is pretty roasty for a Berliner and has some funk in the finish, really not what I was expecting. wnoble (1251) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 5, 2012
Deep brown with a ruby red hue. Nose is bright and fresh citrus hop notes. toasted and lightly smokey malt aromas to boot. Taste brings some mild phenols, spices, mild funk, grainy wheat breadyness. Dry, refreshing, and crisp. Refreshing. Not sure this should be labeled Berliner Weiss but I enjoyed it. b3shine (9023) - Indiana, USA - SEP 8, 2012
Draft to taster at the brewhouse. Looks decent; a semi-transparent brown with white lacing. Smells alright; hoppy, but not really tart or funky. Tastes like it smells with no sour characteristics whatsoever. Below average on the palate for a "sour". Glad I got a small sample that I didn’t pay for. drowland (8888) - Georgia, USA - AUG 30, 2012
8/11/12. GTMW - on tap at the Flat 12 booth. Light black pour, dark brown I suppose, with a small tan head. Light aroma with just a hint of funk and sourness on top of wheat malts and just barely a touch of roast. Lightly tart flavor, mostly smooth wheat and pale malts with a hint of roast and cream. This wasn’t my favorite of their offerings today. shrubber85 (11508) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - AUG 29, 2012
Draft. Lightly sour malt aroma. Black with small head. Lightly tart mild wheat malt flavor. Light body. A nicely drinkable beer - not a lot of sourness though. A very interesting take on the style.
