Bottle shared by a friend. Pours a clear brown color with a thin tan head. Aroma of grainy malt, caramel and chocolate. Malty flavor with caramel and light chocolate.
(22oz bottle) Pours a mahogany body with a foamy grey-beige head. Aroma of caramel, roasted grain, light insecticide, and dry cocoa. Flavor of roasted malt, dark fruit, anise, and caramel. bytemesis (9488) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - FEB 13, 2015
Bottle thanks to RJ5020. Gusher on opening. Pours clear ruby mahogany, medium tan head that dissipates quickly leaving good lacing. Aroma is dark sugars, hay, some rubber, anise, coffee. Flavor is quite sweet, roasty, smoke and rubber plus dark sugars. Medium body, high carbonation. Eh. Probably sat on this too long... sloth (2955) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - APR 29, 2014
Small tan head with fair retention and a lasting lace. Mostly black with some ruby hues. Nose of grains and bready malts. Body is med/full, lightly chewy and hint oily. Grainy malts are a little sweet but the roast and chocolate notes make it more palatable for me. Slight plum and raisin notes. Finishes lightly sweet with some tobacco notes. Props to Neohippie2 for the bomber! RobertDale (6977) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - APR 23, 2014
22 ounce bottle. Pours a dark brown with a decent beige head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, and coffee. Taste is malt, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and caramel. Nice Baltic Porter. b3shine (9255) - Indiana, USA - FEB 17, 2014
Draft to taster. Looks good for the style; cola with off-white lacing. Smells of dark malt and chocolate with a moderately sweet backbone. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Maybe just a touch of roast too. A solid example of the style.

Dark brown almost black pour with a tan head. Aromas of dark fruits and coffee. Taste is sweet roasted malts with coffee and some plum. Very easy to drink and the abv is very-well hidden. Not quite as big and robust as I thought it would be, but still a respectable offering. jwtinn01 (34) - louisville, Kentucky, USA - JAN 18, 2014
Bought a growler and poured a great foamy head and dark ruby color. A great baltic porter style. merc7186 (3160) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - OCT 5, 2013
The beer has a great appearance with a nice opaque color that passes no light through, has a great creamy tan two finger head, and leaves very lacing on the glass. The beer has a decent smell with a nice blend of a coffee, bourbon, and dark fruit. The taste has a decent combination of coffee, dark fruit (sour cherry and/or raisin), light bourbon/whiskey flavors and a smokey finish. The mouthfeel is decent with smokey dryness and the beer is decently carbonated. Overall, this is a decent beer with a lot of punch to it. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - AUG 18, 2013
Red pour with an off-white head. The aroma ha some dark fruit and caramel malt. The flavor has some caramel, toffee and grass. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. JStax (7307) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - AUG 11, 2013
22 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. This bottle was a bit of a guaher. Not too bad, though. Pours a darker brown with a big beige head of foam. The aroma had an odd sugary sweetness to it that was accompanied by a subtle toasty character. Taste was more on the toasty, mildly bitter side.Overall, not bad, but I think there might be a touch of infection coming on.
