Ohhhh wow, how great! I miss the days when this was an everyday brew. Be cautious, the name says it all. ENJOY AndyW68 (1557) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JAN 22, 2013
I like it. Clear amber pour. Expected it to be hazy. Nice white head with caramel aroma. Taste has burnt caramel, malt, hops and spice. Yes, the word spice is generic. I am familiar with it but the name escapes me. Maybe a nutmeg/cinnamon mix. Pretty good. TAR (2776) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - DEC 7, 2002
Draft: Hazy orange liquid atop an attractive white foam. The aroma was quite enticing: White pepper notes first grabbed me, followed by fresh oranges, hint of doughiness, flowers, rubber, bread, goat cheese, and mint. The assertive flavors display a delicious, yet straightforward floral/orange intervention. Finishes citric with a touch of breadiness and coconut. Nice hop burps, probably from the dry-hopping. Nothing overly complex, but is well on its way to being a top-notch Wit. Perhaps a bit much honey and not enough Hallertau emphasis. Otherwise, extremely quaffable and a dangerous drinker. (draft- Indiana brewers fest) Hazy light golden beer with a nice banana and spice aroma. Excellent warmth from alcohol and pleasant sweet malts and coriander with bubblegum. Well balanced. Dorkenstein (556) - - AUG 8, 2015
Plum and raisin aroma with bread too. Taste is run soaked raisins and raisin bread. A touch of caramel and toffee.

Tap at brewery. Lemon, coriander, and rye malt aroma. Caramel color with small head. Sweet orange, clove, strong rye malt and moderately bitter herbal hops flavor. Very unique. ContemplateBeer (2089) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - FEB 25, 2012
Aroma of gum, rye, banana and resin hops. Appearance is red/brown with bone head. Flavor matched the nose, but with a little pepper. Palate was very creamy. I liked this one quite a bit. Strykzone (7430) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - MAR 22, 2012
Sampled at an esbls tasting. Cool thick layer of small bubbles. Mid brown. Smooth. Chocolaty with complex fruit and softer hops. Alcohol is only lightly tasted. This is chewy and tasty. Patrickctenchi (6628) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - MAY 5, 2012
Pours a dark tea-brown with a huge tan head.

Very nice and very interesting beer. wlajwl (6884) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - SEP 13, 2012
Aroma is spices, Belgian yeast and a hint of vegetables. The flavor is rye and barley malts, an undercurrent of spice, a hint of citrus, mild sweetness and a tart finish.
