Clear amber with a thin white head. Aroma is very faint, but kind of oaty. Taste has some whole grain bread notes with toasted crust.

RSRIZZO (2032) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - AUG 5, 2017
12oz bottle (courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Trappist glass at 41°. Color is a hazy orange gold with good carbonation and a thin soft white head. Aroma is fresh grain with a light bready yeast scent in the back and some fruity sweetness. It has a medium body with a smooth mouth feel. Flavor come on light with the grain showing first with a mellow maltiness then a nice hop spice comes in with a mild bitterness. Aftertaste is dry, the hop bitterness and spice come up a little more with a light tart feel. Overall it’s a good brew I was just hoping the yeast they used was going to give it some nice Belgian notes.

Good looking beer... has a banana funk I wasn’t expecting. Started out smoother than it ended.. It’s OK.

Bottle:
Clear, dark golden-amber with a thick off-white head.
Caramel, light toasted grain scent.
Taste is mild, caramel malt, a touch of yeast, orange-lemon.
Just.....OK...nothing at all steps out.
Very muted hops, and not much "Belgian" happening either.

Clear amber coloured body with a copper glow and a nice thin head, about a centimetre tall. Aroma of toffee, fresh earthy and floral hops and a smooth malty note that is noticeable above the hops. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy hops show first with a smooth balance of lightly toasted malts and a caramelised sugar sweet finish coupled with the residual hop bitterness near the end of earth and toffee. Aftertaste shows a smooth complexity of grain, hops, earth and toffee - nice and robust throughout, but still not showing too much at all. Overall, a nice balanced beer with some noticeable hop bitterness, but again, not too much throughout that make this different from the traditional fat tire or other beers from the APA category (this is definitively not a ’Belgian Ale’, period.). I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Fair Lakes (Fairfax), Virginia on 14-July-2016 for US$15,99 for the mixed twelve pack, sampled at home in Washington on 08-February-2017.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8164) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 5, 2017
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark copper color with a large soapy orange-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet, tangy and yeasty with sugar, tropical fruit and a touch of pepper. The flavor was musty, yeasty and bready with floral and fruity hops and was rather dry. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

Bottle from Discount. Pours a clear amber with almost no head. Caramel, earth and very faint funk. Hops have pretty much faded into an earthy note. Nice dry toffee notes on the palate though. Old at this point.

hayduke (5692) - Eureka, California, USA - JAN 18, 2017
Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. First pour clear dark gold and later cloudy amber. Off white foam. Decent lacing . Nose of stone fruit. Medium body. Flavor is the fruit and some onion that intrudes. Finishes yeasty and with the onion. Too bad about the onion.

Strykzone (7713) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JAN 18, 2017
12 ounce bottle from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Lightly hazed and oily looking. Amber golden with a white head that leaves heavy lacing. Aroma is earthy and malty with a bit of spice that is kind of oniony. Flavor is heavy with yeast and interesting fruit. Some honey and resin flavors. Something a bit off that is the onion.

kramer (6908) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 17, 2016
Bottle. Pours a clear amber body with a one finger foamy beige head that faded to a thin film. The nose is lightly fruity with a slight hop note, some belgian yeast, bready and caramel malt. The flavor is a bit happier than the aroma let on, with some nice floral and lightly citrusy hoppiness. Some light belgian yeast esters and a toasty and caramel malt base. Medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. OK, but not a favorite from the collab pack.

[Bottle (12oz)] Pours a cloudy copper with an average size lasting frothy off-white head. Minimal lacing. Aroma is quite bready first followed by some caramel, light fruit, yeast and little to no hops. Flavour is bready and a bit fruity along with yeast, light hops and an average short bitter finish. Medium bodied. Disappointing and not what I would personally call a Pale Ale at all.
