Bottle. Very malty aroma with notes of banana and caramel. Pours amber-caramel colored with a good beige head that has good retention and lacing. Rich malt flavor with some spice and caramel notes. Finishes very smooth with banana notes and a complex spicy finish. Nice.

Poured from bottle(room temp) a deep amber gold with a very small head that dissipated slowly leaving a fine solid layerand lots of nice lacing.
The smell is very fruity with notes of banana, plum, and a clove aroma as well. Very inviting!
The taste is a wonderful blend of the notes I mentioned in the smell all working together with sweet malt and a nice yeasty infusion that makes it so darn drinkable.

A nice double. Strong Belgian yeast notes. Very malty and sweet. Notes of Carmel and banana. A light touch of hops in the finish.

Pours brown from the bottle and leaves a thick, creamy head. Aroma is roasted nuts, toast, hints of chocolate, cherry, a bit of spice — mostly clove. Taste is bitter, a touch sour, plenty of spice. A bit harsh. A touch of toffee sweetness to round this one out would raise it to the next level, but this is lacking entirely, leaving it feeling unrounded in places. Bottle from Total Wine, South Richmond. Pours clear brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is similar to an unspiced nut bread. Nothing special but inoffensive. Flavor is caramel, but not strong caramel. Browning leaves, kinda nutty. It reminds me more of a more brown ale than anything. It’s fine, but top 50 in the style? Really?

Pours a clear dark brown with an average but sufficient head. Aroma is nutty, yeasty, bread, sweet malts, caramel, and an almost burnt(pleasantly) chocolate finish. Taste is similar, yeasty bread and sweet malts and caramel dominate with nice subtler notes of earthiness and a nice slightly bitter bite at the end. På flaska. Smak och doft av humle, malt, karamell, mörk torkad frukt, fikon, plommon, belgisk jäst med toner av jord och madeira. Lite Bock-känsla, stor sötma och kropp, fina aromer, bra balans, fin beska. Gott!
