12oz bottle - Poured a hazy golden yellow. The aroma was definitely citrus with a hint of sour dough. Flavors of pretty much the same. Hoppy finish. bookman10 (1209) - Osseo, Minnesota, USA - FEB 26, 2016
Pours a slightly cloudy, very light yellow, with mid-sized, pillowy head. Grassy and citrus aromas. Flavor is very citrusy (lots of lemon), with slight, muted hop bit. Some grassiness and a touch of sweetness. Rather sweet finish, too. This is not bad at all. valpoaj (755) - Valparaiso, Indiana, USA - FEB 24, 2016
Pulled this one out before the ’impending blizzard’ - cloudy, murky whitish-yellow pour with a nice sized white head (bottle pour) - aroma is very nicely done - both the amarillo and mosaic shine with an overall light, fruity aroma. Flavor is mildly bitter - not overly so, and the citrus hops come into play here. Palate seems appropriate for the style. Not a hop bomb by any means, but this one is a very nicely drinking, sessionable IPA - good stuff! jinroh (2277) - ESTONIA - FEB 7, 2016
Pours golden, some flakes flowing around in beer, nice frothy white top. Aroma is was it usually is with white IPA’s, somewhat softer and with sour fruity notes. Sweet and has some bubbly grain feel to it, also citric. taste is also sweetish, yet refreshing and not cloying buyt finishes more or less dry. Hops are abundant but bitterness is balanced by sweetness, overall youc an get the bitterness only in the lingering finish. Maybe a tad sweet but overall quite nice and easily drinkable beer, even in winter. Dacrza (1035) - Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA - FEB 6, 2016
DATE TASTED: February 6, 2016... GLASSWARE: Barley Creek pint.. OCCASION: just finished off The Battle of the Five Armies with Shan and the boys--a rousing success... APPEARANCE: a flurry of white rushes to join the thick blanket of head that shows thick, clinging, single-finger creaminess; the body is the slightest bit hazy but otherwise clean... AROMA: bright pineapple, grapefruit, orange peel and lemon offer an alluring introduction; some spices--pepper and nutmeg--strike subtly with suggestions of light biscuit... PALATE: palate-cleansing smoothness, with nary a suggestion of complexity until its very end...creamy and effervescent, making a throaty getaway with a finish that requests a second sip...TASTE: the impact of hops--and the accompanying grapefruit, lemon and pineapple--with cracker as slight maltiness and sweetness... though not balanced, a flavorful addition of bubblegum and yeastiness that softens the impact... OVERALL: indeed, piled high with IBUs...light--actually, not at all what I imagine a snowed-in IPA would taste like--but flavorful and drinkable, airy and inspiring... a solid New Belgium product that makes me want to sample more of them....

Surprised at how much I liked this beer. Quite tasty. A hoppier beer than I would typically enjoy but but was cut with just enough malt to blend into a very enjoyable beer.

This reminds me of soot. Just in the back. But thats the main flavor that shines through. I don’t think I can finish this. As usual, some weird version of a beer, some reworking of something common, Indian Pale Lager, or White IPA, are to be avoided. closey22 (2101) - Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, USA - JAN 10, 2016
Hazy gold with Lacy thin foamy white head; aroma is mildly hoppy grainy with shellfish; flava is hops with soft fruity sweetness; feels medium silky; finishes hoppy moderately bitter
