2012 bottle and on tap: pours golden with a light white head. The hops are amazing. Bright citrus along with piney resin flavor. Malt is balanced. As with anything from Alpine, a great beer!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Been looking forward to this one... Pours a nice toasted golden with a steady fine white foam sheet with central dome. Smells of sweet pine, resin, grapefruit, sweet malts and hints of alcohol. Smells solid enough to drink. Not mind blowing, but very nice. Flavor is sweet, biscuity malts, bitterness, oranges, grapefruit meat, cotton candy, and some peaches. Medium bodied on slight syrup with low carb and a slight, warm finish. This beer is nice, and I enjoy it. Strong work between the two and a good buy while available. Serving type: bottle 09-04-2012

Funny name, somewhat 1970s. Massive aroma with so much pine (I get what others note about resin) that it becomes vegetable-like...onion, maybe a bit chemical, too. Good appearance with hazy yellow/peach, white head. The flavor didn’t end too badly, actually. Long finish. Reasonably well rounded. Shared with a neighbor in celebration of my wife’s 43rd birthday. Happy birthday, honey! Bottle.

Tap at falling rock. This is a bright yellow gold with a nice head. Smells of straight up hoppy goodness lots of citrus an a bit o pine. Flavor is bitter pine rezsin and clementines. Finishes with a lingering sweet and grassy citrus.

Nice bright citrus and pine aromas even a little tropical; ample hops. Moderatly bitter and balanced. Good IPA for sure but not quite super. Sure wouldn’t mind another one though.

October 2012. 22 oz. bottle. Amber color with a white head. Huge aromas of pine, citrus and tropical fruit. Caramel, citrus and hoppy flavors. Dry, bitter finish. Awesome!

Bottle from South Bay Liquor: Upon pour, an instant olfaction of citrus like hops dominate my nose and give off scents of sweet grapefruit, sweet onion and freshly compressed hop buttons. Appearance was simple golden liquid topped with a soapy frothing of foam head. The flavor is intensely bitter that boast a hefty dosage of hops that almost make me start coughing a little like as if I took a sip of cough medicine or shot of hard liquor. The taste of this beer reminds me of a fresh wet hop ale with oily succulent hops while also clearly being a unique and different hop combination that I haven’t tasted in other Imperial/double IPA’s.

This was sent to me by Strykzone. Thanks Dave. Pours amber with a foamy white head. Nose is citrus and pine hops. Medium plus in body with smooth clean mouth feel. Flavor is is hoppy - floral, pine, citrus and bitter. Finish is dry and bitter with a lot of flavor. Top flight DIPA and right up my alley.
