Poured from a 12oz bottle into a tulip. Cloudy orange with a thick head. Smells like sweet citrus with some yeast. Taste is sweet, piney, mixed with a yeast/funk with a bitter, hoppy aftertaste. I can see what NB is going for here - and it is very, very good. Even though these are some of my favorite styles of beer (IPAs and Belgians), the combination is somehow not the best of both worlds.
Pours clear amber with a touch of orange and a 1-finger white head. Citrus fruit aroma mixed with an earthy note. Maybe a touch of tropical fruit too. Body is medium-to-full with a dry finish. Flavor shows notes from various types of hops: first pine, then tropical fruit, followed by grapefruit. This is no "hop bomb" though, as all of those notes are nicely restrained with an underlying earthy note from the Belgian yeast. beerme31 (685) - Holly Springs, North Carolina, USA - MAR 10, 2017

Bottle. Pours a clear pale gold body with a small fizzy white head. The nose is slightly sweet and fruity malt with a nice light floral hoppiness. The flavor is delicate and light with a nice sweet pale maltiness. Gentle bitterness and a floral hop finish. Light bodied and just a bit clingy with soft fizzy carbonation. Good stuff. Sample at the Asheville brewery. Clear golden color with a medium ivory white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Stringy lacing. Fruity yeast, hops and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of Belgian yeast, citrusy hops and malt. The finish is moderately bitter and fruity with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall. Clear, deep golden with a lacing white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, citrusy hops, and a little spice. Taste is spicy with a citrus finish. Not bad.

Pours an amber color with a white head. Aroma is pine and floral hops with some belgian yeast and banana. Flavor is interesting. AROMA: Orange citrus is the prominent note; slight floral or candy scent. An odd, difficult-to-identify aroma (fusel alcohol?) is also present. 8/12
APPEARANCE: Bright copper/flame orange; mostly clear body with CO2 visible. Moderate, brite white froth. Good lacing. 3/3
FLAVOR: Light spicy taste at first - mild clove and peppery phenols from Belgian yeast. Base malt is generic pale; fairly clean and unsweetened. American hops impart orange citrus flavor on the finish with candy flavor as well. Fairly strong, dry bitterness is tolerable. No alcohol taste. 16/20
MOUTHFEEL: Medium body and carbonation. Soft texture and smooth finish. No alcohol warmth. Hops linger momentarily but are not astringent. 5/5
OVERALL IMPRESSION: Good combination of base AIPA recipe and Belgian yeast character. It’d be awesome if not for that off aroma. 8/10

Poured golden with a thin, bubbly head. Faint floral aroma. Grassy taste. Not a lot of complexity. Somewhat disappointing.
