Drank on 8/12/2017, from I.B.S.

Appearance: 2 – Amber, slightly cloudy, nice head with good lacing.

Smell/Aroma: 3.5 – Tangerine, big tangerine, citrus, slight sweet malt. They really hit the tangerine in the name.

Taste: 3.5 – Tangerine, tangerine, lemon, citrus, that progresses to a nice easy bitterness. A slight malty sweetness but not much. A little hop bitterness, citrus pith.

Mouthfeel/Palate: 3 – Slightly hop puckering but very light, a nice carbonation.

Overall: 3.5 – Says tangerine, yes, it is damn tangerine. Lovely. Very good.

[email protected] Clear golden with ivory foam. Lime, citrus, bready, peppery aromas. Nice dry lime, herbal, peppercorn, bready flavors__ not bad.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours very light gold with a white head. Aroma starts lime and then has a hot spice note. Med minus body. Flavor is watery lime with a hint of spice. Hot spice. Basically this is food accompaniment - i.e. slosh it down to move the food. Not terrible. The spice becomes clearly pepper, and that's an improvement.

Bottle as pictured. Pouring this pale brew you get a different smell, just not sure if its lime, or not. However, along with the good carbonation I do get a sense of lime in the taste. It tries to be radler but never quite gits thar. Some bitter lime rind effects pick up in the middle. Not sure if I pick up any pepper in this, tho. In the end that bitter lime peel thing is starting to get on my nerves. Not impressed with the finish.

Bottle. Tart lime aroma with notes of coriander and black pepper. Pours pale golden colored with a half a finger of white head that has good retention and excellent lacing. Starts with tart lime flavors with notes of black pepper. Finishes dry and tart with more bright lime and coriander flavors. Very nice summery beer.

355 ml bottle bought at Q-Club in SoHo, Central.

Looks: Clear light golden cooue; Half finger head with soapy white foam which fades in 40 seconds; Very good sticky lacing with near zero carbonation.

Aroma: Very fragrant Ale malt, with strong white grapes, melon, perfume, citrus tea, honey, floral nectar, sugar, wood, biscuits and thin grass.

Taste: Mid to light sweet Ale malt, with wheat, fair tartness, strong coriander, strong white grapes, melon, floral, light sugar, strong perfumey spices, biscuits, light lime, lemon and fair to medium bitter grassy hops.

Body: Mid to light body. very crisp palate.

Mouth Feel: Fair Ale maltymess in a strongly wheat-thinned background. Starts with strong coriander and then viney hops dominates - strong white grapes and melon as if it's Nelson Sauvin! Very perfumey floral with moderate sweetness. Spicy biscuity with mild lime to round. Refreshing!

Hoppiness: Strong white grapes, melon, perfume, citrus tea, floral nectar, wood and thin grass in nose. Strong white grapes, melon, floral, spices, light lime and grass in taste; Bitterness is notable for an abrupt, mid to low astringent bitter-sweet wheaty finish.

After Taste: Dry. Perfumey viney and fairly bitter to mouth.

Comments: In a blind tasting this will be easily mistaken with Nelson Sauvin, as the white grapes and melon characters are so strong. Coupled with strong dose of coriander, this one is more like a pumped up Golden Ale with lesser emphasis on bitterness. Exotic and interesting!

A strange beer, has a bit of a lime martini feel to it, but also like a heavily lined corona. Eh.

Twelve ounce bottle from mixed 6 pack bought at Dent Kroger, tasted on August 4, 2017. Cloudy yellow hue, aroma prominently features lime and spice, taste like the nose but not well balanced. Drinkable but not more than that.

Nero55 (945) - Nevada, USA - SEP 8, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 8, 2017 Bottle. Golden with thin head. Aroma of citrus and some spices. Light body, lime peel, hint of coriander, and some acidic bite.
