Hazy gold - amber beer with a good pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth with fine minerally carbonation. Lactose sweet smooth malt. That typical Aramis hop flavour here, light aniseed and herb with floral and piney flavours. However compared to other Aramis beers it is much less bitter and thus allows the unusual hop flavours to shine through. Nicely joined up and tasty.

Bottle, 22oz. A big, dense, off-white head forms over a hazy, golden body. Some lacings. The aroma is certainly on the hoppy side, slightly reminiscent of a bag of hop pellets, with a strong orange scent. Pineapple, herbs and grass. A bit low on bitterness I think, but with quite a few nice flavors. Definitely not what you’re used to from an IPA, but I think I like it. Grass, hay, pineapple, some lemon and a herbal hint. A bit thin on the palate maybe, but with a pleasant carbonation. A bit short finish too, but overall, I think it’s a nice and quite refreshing beer. 130822
