3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden orange with a medium creamy white head that retains fairly well and leaves some lacing.
The aroma is fruity flowery piney hops with some biscuity malts.
The flavor is biscuity earthy malts with some fruity floral hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, an interesting hop for an IPA. I don’t like the biscuit malt in the backbone. The hops are a bit too floral for me but interesting.
"Very floral, with an earthy aspect and a little spice. Less citrus and pine than the usual ipas/iipas, but I really dug this one. Went down easy for the abv and my nose kept returning to the glass." beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - AUG 7, 2014
Sampled on 8/7/2014. This India Pale Ale pours a slightly cloudy medium yellow orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head, with good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is floral, citrusy, with some orange, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy, orange and floral. Medium bitterness IPA, that lasts a good while in the aftertaste. Nice carbonation, lots and lots of small bubbles. Ann interesting hop, not sure if I have ever tried this one before. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is bitter. chuckstout (336) - Washington, USA - JUL 26, 2014
Floral, spicey, orange, pungent aromas. Pours cloudy yellow/orange with good frothy off white head. Dry, clean, soft, floral, tangerines, good mouthfeel. Good stuff at a even better price Koskela (505) - Marysville, California, USA - JUN 23, 2014
A beautiful hop aroma just like if you were brewing comes from this cloudy pale orange brew with a small white head. For the taste I get fresh wert with an aftertaste of green. Maybe broccoli or peas in the pod. It is grassy I guess is the best way to put it. It’s light bodied and refreshing with a decent carb. Buy it. Worth it. obguthr (6461) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - JUN 1, 2014
Tomato and onion, nose, lemon and orange accents. Cloudy amber, thick sticky head. Musty, dusty oak flavor. A bit vegetal. Rustic and only subtly fruity.

Bottle. Pours fairly clear light golden. Nose is floral and grassy. Taste is light with some dirt and stone fruit.. I need to try this again. DedicatedToFun (4000) - Santa Monica, California, USA - APR 13, 2014
Bomber from whole foods, orange pour, small white head, smells bitter and of citrus, taste is bitter and hoppy, orange peels, nice. Petrucci914 (910) - Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 30, 2014
Pours a straw color. I agree with my brother, has a weird vegetal thing going on with it. Lacked any hop or bitter complexity. Juelze (1146) - Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 21, 2014
Pours a halt straw color with pillowy head. Aroma is light spice and vegetables. Taste is very earthy and vegetal. Blech. Bad bottle? Not enjoyable at all times. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - MAR 18, 2014
Reviewed from notes.
The appearance has a hazy golden orange colored body with a one finger white foamy head that dissipates within a minute, a fair amount of speckled spider web lacing.
The smell is floral yet there are elements of toffee that come through in a weird sort of way.
The taste is bitter but sweet, the toffee comes back fairly strong, super dry aftertaste and finish (wow, perhaps one of the driest beers I’ve ever had).
The palate is about a light to medium, and fairly sessionable. Carbonation is fairly subdued but still good for the style.
Overall, AIPA, wow, uh... ok, I guess it is, but I say pretty different than what I’ve had, the strong toffee coming through in the aroma and taste is pretty different, not sure where I’m getting that, but alright, good for New Belgium for trying something different, but I can’t see myself wanting this again.
