Too dry an aroma filled with aging groundcover foliage. Overly translucent, albeit liquid gold in color. That aging foliage is all there is in the flavor. A bit acrid on the palate. Harshly un-enjoyable.

Mediocre, hopped up malty lager. Its pretty much exactly what you think it would be with nothing interesting going on. Flowery hop bock.

Smells like sweet bread, hay, and grass. Taste is slightly sweet bready malts with an easy bitterness and a touch of rye spice. Pours clear golden with a soapy white head that leaves plenty of lacing. Light medium bodied and crisp. Not amazing, but really good for the style and perfect after a day of yard work.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark golden color with a moderate white head. Nose is a bit spicy, almost like there is some pepper in there. Taste is a little muted from the nose, but the rye really comes through. Light and smooth drink. Im kinda digging it.

Draft. Pours a golden with nice soapy white head and good retention. Smell of grassy/earthy hops, a bit spicy, some floral, crisp malts. Flavor was really nice grassy hops and pale malt/grain, bready, slight;y floral as well. The hops shinned in this lager and really had that bite that I am looking for, and really played well with the malts. I thought this was among the best lager I have ever had. Just really impressed with this one.

Clear golden, short head some lace, good carb. Aroma is mild with spice, light citrus/floral,toast bready-buiscuit malt, light ripe fruit some tartness.Seems to smell just of a premium lager at times and at first. Smooth spicey, dry toasted malt, herbalish, earthyness, pungent bittering. Mild tartnes but with strong citrus character.Texture is a dry mineral- gritty-like toast probably the rye

Type: 22-oz. bomber Glass: Firestone pint glass From: Bine & Vine Bottleshop in Normal Heights (San Diego, Calif.) Price: $5.49 Purchased: March 28, 2013 Consumed: April 3, 2013 Misc.: Best by July 7, 2013 Poured a pale clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head that lasted for some time. Healthy amount of layered foamy lacing on the sides all the way down. Even retention all the way across and all the way down. Smelled a mix of hops, spices and malt. Hops seemed to be a mix of grass and resin. Got Belgian spices and some faint pepper. Malts were caramel, toffee, toast and cereal. Tasted similar to the nose, but not quite as hoppy. Still the Belgian and pepper spices. Earthy, yet watery, grassy hops. Malts not as pronounced as the smell. Bread, corn and cereal. Overall I wasnt really digging it. Light body. Oily texture. Lively (above average) carbonation. Abrupt, watery finish. I was hoping for something better, but this beer disappointed. It just got worse as it went down.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a nice head and great lace. Pretty beer. Rye shows up in the aroma, a little soapy, clean. Flavor is pretty straightforward, but there is an over-corned note that sort of bugs me as I hate corn, but the earthy hops cut the sweetness nicely.

Bottle with a best before of 16 June 13.pours with a filtered, crystal yellow hued body with a rotund and lasting white head with good lace. Malty and biscuity aroma with huge noble hop spicy, earthy and subtle fruity qualities. Hay, fresh cut grass. Fresh smelling overall. Flavors are bitter, clean, crisp an hoppy, spicy, herbal, noble, mild peanut butter, quenching, spicy. A pretty solid lager, but not very heller bock like in any traditional sense (Strong Lager). Floral, medium-low bitter, clean, crisp, dry, low body, medium carb. Solid

From the bottle, clear orange/gold pour with a white head. Bready and earthy aroma, taste is a little sweeter upfront and a slightly bitter finish. Good brew.
