Initial aroma is hoppy strong but then you take a sip of this super clear yellow hued beer and you get a really spot on helles. It took me aback that the aroma and taste could be on such different wavelengths. Then the hops fade off and it tastes like a solid American helles.

Pours a clear golden orange with a medium white head. Aromas of hops and sweet malt. This is actually a rather tasty, smooth, brew. It is also highly session-able for me. Tastes of a nice sweet malt, bitter hops and a little citrus-y. Solid.

Bomber. Pours pale yellow with a big frothy white head that fades slowly and leaves lacing. Aroma is spicy and grassy, probably from the hops and rye malt. Taste is very lemony at first, then turns very spicy, grassy and bitter. Some clean pale malt comes through nicely and adds a light sweetness. Finish is very dry and grassy. I enjoyed drinking this as a nice change up.

Very nice hop aroma, this beer uses Hallertau, Perle, and Fuggles hops. A noticeable citrus flavor, bitter orange maybe. A bit of sweetness on the back end. Crystal clear golden color, white head with lacing. All in all a very nice beer.

Location/Date:Bottle split with Jay on 3/9/2013.

Appearance: Pours a clear light yellow
Aroma: Aroma of light hop
Taste: Light lager style flavor with nice amount of hops.
Palate:Light body, quick finish, covers alcohol well.

Summary: My 1100th rating! I originally was going to rate Maine Beer Lil One for 1100th, but oh well. A nice take on a heller bock, has nice amount of hop flavor.

I enjoyed this more than I thought. Its nicely filling beer, rich and satisfying, with a lot bready, hearty flavors mixed with a crisp. peppery hop finish. Nice notes of grass and pine in the finish, as well. I could actually see myself drinking more of this.

Appearance was clear copper gold with diminishing creamy 1finger white head, spotty lacing. Aromas are spicey, earthy musky noble hops. No alcohol present with caramel, crystal and pale malt backbone. Taste is malty sweetness then noble spicey, lemon, earthy lagerish hop taste. Palate was soft smooth CO2 with medium body, then average length noble spicey finish. Good noble Bock.

Bomber bottle poured a clear yellow hue w/ a frothy white slowly diminishing head and excellent lacing. Big floral aromas of spruce and citrus. Initial flavor is a very light sweet to a heavy bitter finish of long duration. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, resin, grain, and rose water. Light to medium bodied, dry texture, and lively carbonation.

Bomber. Pours a clear deep old gold with a medium white head with great retention; it laces pretty nicely. Aroma consists of citrus powder drink, lemon, earth, wet river rock. Taste is lightly sweet and ends on a fairly bitter (for a heller bock) note. Flavor is earthy, biscuity (has that Fat Tire signature taste) and hoppy. I seem to be really into straightforward and simple, yet well-made brews lately. This falls into that category.
