Gobs of Riverbend Malt House’s rye, paired with heaps of Simcoe, Galaxy, Cascade, and Mosaic hops, make for one great RYE IPA. Expect some nice spicy notes and aromas to take flight.

From bomber into snifter, pours your traditional rich amber IPA with a thick and frothy vanilla head and a solid curtain of lacing. Malty yet bright rye nose. Mamma Mia that's smoove, better balanced and professionally polished as compared to Green Flash Road Warrior which can leave a touch of road rash...could be the lower ABV. Reminds of the initial batch of SN's Ruthless Rye a few years ago. The Hop Kitchen cooked up a winner. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Got in this year’s spring/summer variety pack. Sort of like the Ranger but a little sweeter and maltier cause of the rye. Has more of a mahogany hue vs. the West Coast yellow-orange appearance. Could use a little more hops IMO, but decent balance and flavor. Still prefer the Ranger though.

Definitely rye spiced and breadth IPA. Nice clean bitter finish. Nothing amazing but solid.

AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - JUN 25, 2016
Bottle at trailer. Clear amber color with ivory foam. Pine, citrus, dust, rye bread aroma. Medium bodied. Citrus, tropical fruit, rye spice, sweet malt flavors--nicely drying finish---not bad

Clear pale golden with a thin white cap. Bready and bitter grassy nose with a punchy leafy undertone. Leafy and bitter flavor with a bready and rye-filled bready finish.

Bottle. Amber color with medium full head. Aroma is citrus hop with caramel malt notes. Medium body. Medium bitterness. Nice mouthfeel. Ends with some citrus and slight pine. Enjoyed this IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from 12oz brown bottle into a pub glass, it poured a crystal clear orange amber colour with sudsy long-lasting white foam, long-lasting with lace. Crisp and grainy, hint of sharp rye bite, more than sufficiently balanced by massively fruity hops, with added layers of black pepper, musk, pine resin, grapefruit. Not excessively bitter, but lots of flavour and aroma. Light body, strong carbonation, lingering hoppy aftertaste. A very good A-IPA.

12 ounce bottle from Sol’s downtown Atlanta. Dark pour. Spice and rye. Hop finish.

dlihcsnatas (760) - Temple, Texas, USA - MAY 18, 2016
Expected a rye peppery thing going on but just did not find it. Citrus aroma and Citrus flavor with maybe a mild rye flavor in the background. Not going to complain too much because this was still a very enjoyable brew, but was expecting more rye.

bpreo (2881) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - MAY 14, 2016
I appreciate the high alcohol content. Wouldn’t expect anything less from an IPA. The Rye flavor is hard to spot, so it tastes pretty standard to me.

Fairly standard pale ale with a bit of rye. Not a bad beer, but not an exciting beer.
