Pours two and half fingers of head on a clear dark straw colored body. Looks great.
The aroma carries a little citrus but the pine sap dominates.
The taste is surprisingly sweet for an IPA. It’s well balanced though with lemon bitterness.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
Hazy copper color. Nice head. Mild hop aroma. Malty base. Not crazy bitter or dry. A good somewhat sweet ipa jb (3211) - Rochester, New York, USA - OCT 25, 2014
A very malty IPA. I guess a bit English in style. Bottle at bobs. Liked it dark orange color. jgb9348 (6191) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - AUG 5, 2014
Crisp amber and copper coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of slightly stale hops, some mild malt and a tiny bit of sugars - not too much. Medium-bodied; Strong stale malt notes with a hint of nuts and earth and a tiny bit of hops detectable with more of a PNW or citrusey flavour and not much else, except for some stale and pale malt notes. Aftertaste shows a bland flavour with not much going for it aside for some minor hops that seem stale. Overall, I was expecting a typical IPA with some good freshness and a pungent malt backbone and I didn’t get any of that - just some stale flavours and a bit of offputting alcohol and bitterness. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Giant Food in Falls Church, Virginia on 25-February-2014 for US$4,49 sampled at home in Washington on 04-August-2014. Bottle. Pours a fairly clear orange color with some haze. Aroma is deep hops, moss, wet wood and dark fruit. Flavor is woody, mossy and leafy hops. Finishes hoppy and bitter. dripke (10) - Chico, California, USA - JUN 29, 2014
I like this beer. Reminds me of Sierra Nevada's Ruthless rye. Would order again.

This is a good IPA, with the usual dominating hops. It has a medium body and nice clarity. The hops are good, even though they are out of balance with the malt. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - JUN 12, 2014
Reviewed from notes.
This one was poured into a pint glass most of the time, but twice I did have it in a tulip. There really wasn’t any change between the two.
The appearance was a decent looking hazy orange to amber color with a decent one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than about thirty seconds.
The smell was a bit grassy with some light hay features and a really light added floral-ness to it.
The taste was sweet and grassy with a light bitterness added in to try and balance it.
On the palate, it sat about a light to medium and holding a decent sessionable quality about it. The carbonation is somewhat there but stays pretty subdued for an AIPA.
Overall, not a bad beer, but nothing really outstanding either. Crit (3973) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 5, 2014
Amber, lasting beige head.Nose of piney hops & alcoholic molasses.Big bodied palate, solid sweet malt fore/mid.Very late big hop bitterness in finish

Bottle:   Comse across as a bit of a soft IPA, pith and peel that aren’t too bitter.   Sofi sweetness.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Decent beer, not too exciting.   Not a hop bomb, low bitterness.   Tiz okay, but a little average.   Fairly clean tho. fiulijn (20411) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 1, 2014
Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Amber color, clean, with creamy head. Caramelly aroma, very light animal accent. Good strength; malt and caramel flavor, with light residual sweetness, mild fruity character, strong bitterness and light animal touch.
Good beer, a bit hard, a bit old style IPA.
