Clear golden, tan head. Light pine, citrus. Light hay. Light bitterness, drier. Light body, quite clean, effervescent. Really very pleasant. jcnielsen (3412) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - SEP 11, 2015
Bottle. Pours a golden color with white head. Herbal, grassy, mountain river, earthy aromas. Herbal, earthy, cracker, hoppy flavors. A hop forward golden ale, but not too hop forward, still feels very much like a golden. I enjoy the New Belgium throwbacks. Even though this isn’t a favorite of mine, this would be a good camping beer. Could easily drink quite a few. Nephilium (1821) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - AUG 16, 2015
Very mild slightly sweet aroma, pours a clear amber with a thin white head. Very interesting flavor, with a touch of sweetness from the wheat, and a hint of spice from the rye. These combine with earthy hop notes to come together quite well. Medium bodied, with a slightly slick mouthfeel from the oats. A very nice change of pace from the Marzens and pumpkin beers that usually come out for Autumn. Steve_0 (3745) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 8, 2015

Taste is orange, grass, skme citrusy notes, biscuit malty, and straw with a medium bitter finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Fine. snoworsummer (5911) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - AUG 6, 2015

Golden pour, small white head. Nose is alcohol and grain. Bitter. Middle is lightly kilned grain and woody hops. Bitter, alcohol finish. slowrunner77 (12451) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 6, 2014
what a nice surprise, especially being a sale beer! aroma is very well balanced light citrus and earthy hops and malt. soft on the palate, and tasty, even though the hops come through a touch more in the aroma than the smell. Very very nice seasonal for just over a buck a bottle. recomended. 10/18/09-had on tap for the first time. even softer on the palate...near perfect body for the style, and still very tasty and aromatic."
