Bottle. Semi-hazy yellow pour with a small slick of white foam. Aroma is light spice over generic sweet malt. Taste is light spice with some malt sweetness and tinge from the alcohol. Sticky mouthfeel. Did not care for this beer. RollinHard (1024) - Fort Worth, Texas, USA - JAN 8, 2013
Pours straw-gold with a small white head. Aroma of lemongrass, sourdough bread, hay, and pepper. Flavor follows suit but with plenty of malt sweetness present in the form of sourdough bread, biscuit, and toffee spiced up with a ton of lemon, herbs, and a gentle non-sour funkiness. Finishes dry and yeasty with little bitterness and a lot of the funkier elements of flavor remaining. Fairly heavy for the style, and definitely malty at first, but the carbonation is right even if the fluffy mouthfeel isn’t quite there. No heat presence. Overall, I enjoyed this a lot and thought the flavor profile was awesome, provided you like NB’s typical house flavors. raradel (343) - Atlanti Beach, Florida, USA - JAN 7, 2013
Enjoyed at a @JaxBrewBitch bottle share at Brewer’s pizza in Jacksonville,FL... Had high expectations for this one and I would say it is solid but not mind blowing. Really good farmhouse/sour/saison type that is smooth and drinkable. Enjoyable.

Bottle. Lemon, barley malt and bandaid aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Light barley malt flavor. Light band-aid finish. Chloro-phenol issues - not a fan. Ibrew2or3 (8814) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JAN 4, 2013
The 22oz bomber pours clear gold with an off white head of foam. The aroma is earthy gravel, orange, lemon and lime. Interesting and oddly inviting. The taste is smooth with earthy sweet apple to pear to orange like fruitiness with a gravel sort of earthiness off in the background. Enjoyable product with enough depth to keep it interesting.

Perfume sweet aromatics. White fruit and Belgian yeast flavors. Overall a very good biere de garde. jhgrantjr (478) - Tennessee, USA - JAN 2, 2013
Stumbled on a bottle at Forrest Hill Wine Merchants in Germantown. Have never tried the "Biere de Garde" style. Pours a golden and clear color. Had a good foamy head on the pour. Aroma is slightly citrus, has some of that barnyard funk and spiciness. Taste is tart and fruity, which makes is a little sweet. But as it warms up, it gets thicker and I can taste the alcohol more. There is an aftertaste that I do not like. I think it is a lemon zest. I’ll have to try other versions of this style before I know if I like it or not. This particular one I won’t try again. Hazy, yellow, dense off-white head with lots of carbonation and matches the style perfectly. Aroma has a citrus orange presence with a healthy amount of wheat. Flavor has a strong orange peel early with a solid wheat malt presence in the middle and a light grassy finish. Brew has a modest body, light alcohol but not nearly close to representing the 9% present. Great lacing is left on the glass with a fantastic carbonation rate that stays very high throughout the tasting. Overall a very tasty brew, orange ca be a little bit much but overall adds a very pleasurable flavor. Would not pass up this brew again if offered.
