Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with white head. Orange peel, malty, spicy aromas. Orange peel, belgian yeast, malty, citrus flavors. Tasty citrusy belgian ale. BEENJAMIN (290) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 14, 2012
A healthy dose of citrus n’ spice on the nose. Pours crystal clear, bright yellow pilsner hue. Slightly tart with a nice dry finish, the Vivant farmhouse yeast is well represented. I think the only problem I have with this Beir de Garde is starting gravity or mash temp may have been too high resulting in too think of a mouthfeel (almost syrupy like). Other then that no complaints. Lips of Faith treats us well. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 12, 2012
Bottle. Pours with a crystal clear paler golden yellow hued body with a massive white head. Aromas are leathery, earthy with muted citrus, pomelo, tamarind, earthy, straw, almost a lightly chlorophenolic smoke. Alcohol. Flavors are sweet, medium citrusy, medium clean, light graham cracker, pretty clean. Possibly a bit minerally or metallic. A touch tart. Warm maltiness. Pretty clean yeast character. A bit zesty and a bit boozy. Medium (prickly) carbonation (probably not much north of 2.50). Medium body, warming, light salinity.

Bottle. Hazy orange pour, small off-white head, poor retention/lace. Aroma is barnyard, earth, citrus, orange peel, caramel. Taste is sweet, barnyard, orange peel, caramel. Palate is a bit dry, soft, oily, a bit slick, sweet finish. At a lower gravity this would be really nice. dfinney23 (3356) - Houston, Texas, USA - DEC 11, 2012
Pours somewhat hazy orange with a finger of white head. Sweet and tart fruitiness with a bit of funk and spice. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - DEC 11, 2012
Bottle. Citrus and light musty yeast, and light alcohol aroma. Hazy honey gold with a small white head. Sweet fruity malt, white grape, light tart and spice flavor. Medium body and carbonation, dry finish. Overall a little sweet for my personal taste. beerbastard (844) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - DEC 9, 2012
Pale clear orange with a slight pinkish hue, holding on to a thin white head. Up front funky nose followed by grains and confectionary surgars. Taste starts with some barnyard flavors up front that turns to sweet oranges, and then it gets too sweet. Alcohol is well hidden, but has some burn in the finish. Very tasty, but unbalanced. Needs to be dryer. robforbes (2246) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - DEC 9, 2012
pours a clear orange with a small white head, and great lacing.
smell is musty, grass, yeast, and a slight whiff of orange peel.
taste is a little tart, wheat, some orange, yeast, a bit of malt, and some spice. ends just a little tart and somewhat oily.
