From a 22 oz bottle shared in Breckenridge CO. Pours a hazy dark yellow with a white head. Aroma of yeast and citrus. Highly carbonated mouthfeel. Flavors of orange and mild spice. Tart finish. jgb9348 (6250) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - MAR 11, 2013
Crisp, completely clear orange coloured body with a faint peach glow and a thinnish, one centimetre tall white head. Aroma of curacao, coriander seed, bubble gum, yeast, pale malt, wheat and a bit of lemons - very nice. Medium-bodied; Assertive yeast flavour with a lot of wheat, some pungent sugars of unfinished caster sugar, a little curacao and a good helping of honey, all with some fairly noticeable alcohol warmth and a good fruity finish. Aftertaste shows some of the barnyardie funk with the yeast coming through more and the body amplified a bit from the alcohol and complexity of the flavours. Overall, a nice beer for the style and a good beer with a complex profile and an even nicer body. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia on 24-November-2012 for US$8.99 sampled at home in Washington on 11-March-2013. arrogantb (1402) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 9, 2013
Got a bottle of this at the $5.99 price point which is the only reason I bought it, the $9 Lips of Faith beers are almost never worth it (sours excluded of course). Bright orange in the glass, mild head. Aroma is quite entertaining, I wasn’t in love with it but there is something interesting about it, the yeast maybe. Its not quite what I would expect from brett so I don’t if that is the yeast they used but it is certainly unique and hard to describe. Flavor had a bit of orange and then that crazy yeast again. I will say I wish it was lower ABV (like 7%) but oh well.
